Another incredibly original video. Loved how you didn’t just throw stones at the Keurig like so many do without explaining why it falls short. Fantastic job explaining the reasoning behind it. Not only am I a subscriber but I got alerts on too. Keep up the great work!
Would be cool to see another one that compares a packaged Keurig pod with a re-creation of it in a pour over. For example a Stabucks French Roast pod compared to fresh ground Starbucks French Roast whole bean in a pour over. Your comparison was more fair and gave the Keurig the best chance to shine with fresh ground coffee, but how many people are fresh grinding coffee to put into a Keurig machine?
I do both. The quality of coffee in K-Cups is not stellar. I roast my own coffee. I grind my own coffee. When time is tight (or for that first-sleepy cup at 5 A.M.) I may reach for the Keurig. After that, with time permitting, I reach for the pour-over. Yes, there is a flavor difference between them. His description of the coffee having more body and character with pour-over is factual. I also have a French Press, it brings out a different flavor as well. There may be some coffees that could taste better with one treatment, or the other.
Which Keurig did you use? Did it have a strength setting? Did you use the strong setting? The strong setting gives the water more contact time with the grounds. Was your grind size right for Keurig? Which reusable pod was used? Only a carafe pod can hold 20g of coffee. You mentioned paper filters. Those are available for the reusable pods. I’m not saying the Keurig will produce the same coffee as a V60 but I’m not sure your comparison was quite fair.
My duo has a strong button but after coming from a cheap espresso maker i would take the espresso maker any day. I use my own coffee on the 6oz setting and before the brew is done it pours out straight water
I am about to buy my own coffee and purchasing a reusable pod for my Keurig. I am trying to figure out if pressing the coffee tightly would help with the flavor. I notice when I shake a normal K-cup the coffee sounds loose. Do you think packing the coffee tightly would help with flavor or cause the water to not flow properly?

Super helpful thank you!
If the quality is lower with being pushed through in the Keurig, what's that say about French press or espresso machines?
Im a huge coffee lover and IMO Keurig K-cups are the best especially with coffee mate french vanilla creamer.
Nice troll 🧌
I find myelf watching all of your videos recently, great presentation.

How would you compare the taste of Keurig coffee versus that of a traditional drip brewer?
