Pre Industrial Lancashire ( i mean the Real Lancashire, including the truncated 1974 version ) is largely ignored but is stunning in its sheer quantity of Old Halls and buildings. Rufford is excellent, as is Speke,and Bolton holds up several examples. Time capsules.

Several pubs and buildings in the Town Centre too that predate industrial Bolton.
