Metal Detecting Silver Nuggets And Solid Silver Veins In The Bedrock

- Wow, what an awesome metal detecting adventure finding silver nuggets and even a couple sweet silver veins in the solid bedrock. I also discovered some crazy dangerous vertical mine openings. It was kinda scary metal detecting there. It was an amazing hunt with meMiner and our friend Sheldon. Are Canadians timid about driving through the water? Watch what happens when I ask meMiner that...lol.

For those asking how to get the silver out, they basically grind the whole rock down to a fine powder in a rock grinder. They take the dust and put it in a kiln. The silver sinks to the bottom once it's all melted and the other elements goes to the top. Once its cooled down it all breaks apart and your left with a chunk of almost pure silver.
Ppl
Not quite lol you have to deal with arsenides and cobalt in these rocks. Not so simple
@@CobaltOntarioadventures Yea, watched a quick youtube video of a guy doing it. It was a nutshell explanation.
Was it a guy refining Cobalt silver? There is one on here, but he had a bunch of problems as well.
@@CobaltOntarioadventures it was this vid. ruclips.net/video/9ElqsO5MVks/видео.html
i hope everyone notices that Beau could put ads in the middle of his long videos to make extra money but he doesnt. because he's a good person with passion for his hobby and love for his fans.
That was a different type of video. That Sheldon guy seems really cool and genuinely nice. Thanks for taking us along👍 You know I think your great at what you do......I do really appreciate it Beau, really!👍👍👍
You all prolly dont care at all but does someone know a trick to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Wilson Stetson instablaster ;)
@Leandro Ronan Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Leandro Ronan It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my ass !
@Wilson Stetson happy to help =)
Awesome video. Most amazing is you that captured Sheldon on camera. That is rarer than a bigfoot video. ;-) Next time, we have to harvest some veins.
I was thinking the same thing hahaha
You made my day again Chigg! Great silver hunt! Cheers!
Awesome!!!!! That was cool!! Definitely something different and exciting!. Thanks for taking us along!!
An image of Me-Miner, Sheldon, and Aquachigger, ordering a steak, baked potato and ice cold beer after a hunt like this would be a 21st century Norman Rockwell...
Hi Chigg, thank you very much for your channel - very enjoyable watching. Dan Hurd uses a microblaster to create miniature explosions when mining opal - this might be of use to you maybe. His RUclips channel is just his name Dan Hurd 😊
Interesting location, too bad silver ain't worth spit right now! Thanks Beau for the fun. 😂@ picking on the Canadian.
Silver from here is worth a bunch if it looks good. Just do a search for "Cobalt, Ontario silver specimens" You will be surprised! It's more to do with the history and whatnot of the area than having silver
Not a dental pick but a blasting cap to extract the silver! LoL...Great video Chigg. Love from a Canadian!❤️🇨🇦 HH and GL🙏🏼🍀🍀
Sheldon are all you Canadians afraid of driving through water! 😂😂😂 Thanks for the silver hunt and the laugh 👍👍👍
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Happy Hunting.
Moar moar moar please
We love you and your videos.
I watched a mining video the yesterday. You can get micro dynamite sticks! You just need a 1/2" masonry drill bit, a cordless impact drill, an igniter and you can blow that crevice stuff out. Great video once again.
Microblaster :) it would be handy around here for sure! And no regulations, no license required
@@CobaltOntarioadventures Thanks Ty, just looked them up, 135 bucks for a 100, but the detonator kit is $690!
Ya man, I looked into it too. Itd be around $1000 CAN for me to blow up small rocks lol but it would be SOOOOOO COOL!
Wow really cool Chigg. I love dreaming about looking for minerals. I’m from AZ so I try, but this is such a cool video ! (;
Awesome video wish I could find a spot like that
I find lots in the mines I go in, great video lovely area..
What a fun exciting time Chigg! Thanks 4 sharing! 😁
Great vid. Amazing how big that nugget was. Ready 2 b found. Got 2 b a place 2 revisit more than a few times.
Always something for me to learn. Thanks.
Wow! This is a new way to find silver, learning as you share your videos! Thanks for sharing!
Don't wake the Balrog with your stone tossing Chigg, or the Cave Trolls. LOL That place looks hairy scary with all those open mine shafts. The silver nugget hunt was fun, tho sad to see you have to leave those veins of silver in the bedrock. ...Walleye... ha ha ha
Good luck brothers
Man that would be fun. Need an impact drill and some shots.
Aquachigger DNA he says, watch out Chigg, someone will clone you!!! 😎👍
Yay awesome videos eh 🇺🇲 my province 🇨🇦
Turns out you can Silver fever too!
Yes! We do call ‘em “Pickerel.” LOL! I hope to catch me some soon!
I love that silver! Wow! Cool!
You two have so much fun! 👏🏻😁
Walleye is an invasive species for us. We actually poison lakes and ponds to get rid of them sometimes.
😳 Wow! I have never heard of that.
I am going fishing for them soon.
Beautiful area! You need a fine chisel or wedge ! Awesome! Never seen raw silver. But one thing I do know about is splitting rock! Be careful out there!
Those poor miners 100 years ago walked past those silver veins hundreds of times over and you come along with your detector and find em. ;) Pretty awesome!
True. However, there were veins up to 3' thick and some hundreds of feet long and 60' deep to worry about mining haha That's why there is so much in the waste rock piles as well, it wasnt worth it in comparison
@@CobaltOntarioadventures I can't even imagine seeing something like that. Can anyone go to Cobalt or do you need to know someone? I'd love to come up.
It's just a small town, anyone can come! Get ahold of me if you do :)
Thanks for taking us along on a great silver adventure!
When you crossed the water you weren't holding your breath. You were laughing to hard.
@aquachigger I'm waiting with baited breath for the new video from yesterday with another find of a lifetime. Can't wait, I've got goose bumps i swear lol!!!
Loving the Canada videos! Thank you!
Great video, ive been watching since the dawn of time
Love watching your videos Chigg
Very Cool, i live in Ontario and had No idea About this!
Omg! I actually know where you are! Well the vicinity thereof. No worries about me going there anytime soon lol. I'm a city kid and do not dig. Lol
still watching but had to comment after first nugget.. so flipping awesome. What fun
the end scene was great
Dude, you talk to rocks, bullets, silver the same way I talk to kittens!!
A crow bar could lift that rock up at 15 min mark. Looks movable. It must be frustrating to not have the right tools.
Chig, Join us rockhounds in the 21st century. Buy an Estwing pick. Leave the wood handle home. Those veins may have came home with you.
I need a slightly used pair of Ray-Bans Beau, are you hunting river treasure this season?
OMG, that hole!
Chigg you’ve got Silver Fever don’t cha?!
Looks like your bag of tools will be having new pieces added.
Always wanted to go up to Cobalt ontario... Ive never fully explored my province lol
very exciting, looking for silver. :) Thanks for sharing.
Good job good video, here you have a new friend. Keep on touch!
Good one chig,
looks like a smoke stack with the silver on top
Hey man thanks for the video I enjoyed it and you need to get back there soon you got to silvermine there you got money
AWESOMENESS
The chigger should do a what to bring when metal detecting. Or show what he has in his backpack
It would be more like, what he forgot.😏
Love this video. I love all
your videos though. Moarrrrr
Of course he was timid about driving through that water, he's driving a Honda.
what a teaser , gets your heart pumping then not this time lol
I find quite a bit of gold near our property in NC.
small amounts but we did have it assayed (sp?) as being fairly pure.
Do you think you could put those rocks in a kiln and heat it up to 1800 degrees, that it would melt the silver and extrude it from the rocks? I bet you could extract some. I would go crazy detecting there. My bag would weigh 200lbs when I left lol
Next Time You go back
Bring a 3 lb.sledge and
Chisels. I almost got the Cotton Patch Mine
(Fever ) just watching
Hey ya started wearing a vest like me! About time! That was awesome! How many lbs did ya take back over the border this time? Lol
walking on water good old yankee
nice silver finds!
Very interesting video cool to see raw silver :)
Beau,If lived up in that area I would never make it home, between bottles ,silver and civil war stuff....metal detecting...how do you ever find time to sleep????
Lovely digging, nice silvers👍
You just gotta get a bigger hammer ! Pretty cool video !
Cool video are you going to process it and make and Ingot with your silver finds.
You dont need a smaller pick!! You need a jack hammer!!
That wax looks like the remains of snake shed.
You definitely have more patience than I would for finding silver 😂
Fun video, maybe you'll find that 15lb nugget next time chigg! Bring the big tools next year 👍
I’m excited just watching
I have come across several hot rocks, I think 1 looked similar to those silver rocks, ? is what did I do with it, lolzzz probably tossed it ) ; Thanks for info on this, very helpful ( ;
This looks really fun!!!
Got it everywhere their
Great video pack a flat screwdriver with you Chigg that will beat nothing GOD BLESS.
I don't know about y'all but I missed the creek videos, hold your breath
Can't believe he left you!!!
Chigg. Is tgat an army fighting load carrier flc. I thought I was the only one to use that. I love it...so convienent. Also try an Alice Y harness and pistol belt
I hope your back is better
That looks like fun, will have to try that sometime. Will you melt down that silver and make something ?
Love it when you come to Canada! Cobalt is such an interesting area! Thanks
Yes a long video nice one chigg
Great finds
How do you separate the silver from the rest of the rock
Pulverize and then heat in a crucible
You don't. Not from here, specimens is where it's at due to historical significance. And if you were to, it's more involved than crushing and melting with flux.
Yous should explore and look for more valuable metals rather than silver ! ! lol
None the less Great video :) fun to watch .
Come on now.. Cobalt silver specimens are valuable. Some are worth a small fortune! But if you're out to collect silver for silver.. yea, go look for something else. It's not worth the effort and you will be wasting potentially awesome specimens in the process.
@@CobaltOntarioadventures True enough ! lol ;) . didn't mean it in a belligerent way man . you know what I'm saying tho ! Buddy is picking up silver nuggets . beside maybe something 10x more valuable that the detector doesn't pick up .
Anything is possible in northern Ontario .. A lot happened in the past . geology and mining related . I like to think there's a lot more out there to keep er going . hahaha
There's alooooooot of rock .
And alooooot of minerals listed in northern Ontario .
0% chance people stepped foot in most parts .
Even prospecting .... One could only do so much with the knowledge they have ... In a vast chunk of land covered in either ice and snow .. Or water mud and Skeeter's .
Even back when prospecting was done . " here " was during the 60" s ..... Technology and information was hurtin.
We almost need another boots on the ground run of prospectors around !!
No lazy helicopter b.s lmao. xD.
It works .. But it doesn't ,
Only picks up whatever it's designed for .
I know how you meant it lol and I agree, lots to still discover in the north!
Love the piece @21:26!! Would you sell it? 😊
🤔
You could get a 15 pounder of silver alls you would need to do is melt them all together. 😉😁
Come on Chigg! You said it’s a good idea to leave something behind for others to find. When you find a vein of silver that you can’t extract you say “I hate to leave it behind!.” 😂
Do they have “Fool’s Silver”?
Great video... I always enjoy watching!
Cobalt is the fools silver around here :)
Ty Olson - Cobalt, Ontario adventures! Thanks Ty! That was a great video!
You might be in Bancroft? My Aunt owns an old gold mine up there called Eldorado.
Your aunt is Kim? Haha he was way further north though, in Cobalt!
@@CobaltOntarioadventures That's her...she's married to my uncle...small world eh!
With electric car batteries , cobalt is the new silver.
I love you channel
Great video duuuude ..
Letter rip tater chip. Lol👍🏼🇺🇸
Hey Chig where were you ? that looks like a lot of fun something I would like to do.
Cobalt, Ontario!
How is the silver got out the rock? What you going to do with it?
Do you have to declare that silver when you cross the border?
Hey Chigg find some big nuggets
How do you separate out the silver? Do you break up the rock and melt the silver or what? Do you do anything with cobolt?
