Oh, god I was obsessed with this beautiful movie the year I graduated HS. I still feel the same giddy feeling in my stomach hearing this song now like I'm 18 all over again. Gorgeous scene!
Anastasia, I watched this with my girls when I went through a divorce, I’m now 50 and 20 years later me and my two princesses talk constantly about this film, I have on DVD and watch it now and then and always brings a tear to my eyes ♥️
I first saw this movie late elementary school I think and I was a teenager when I re-discovered this film. It has been my favourite movie since then and it's been more than a decade. After 10+ years, I am still convinced that "Never knew I could feel like this, like I've never seen the sky before" is the simplest yet most moving description of love I have ever heard. This line gets me every. damn. time.
This song is my favorite love song and one of my favorite songs ever. It’s so meaningful and beautiful. No other love songs come close to it in my opinion.
I absolutely love this movie, not long after watching it,i got Ewans autograph whilst he was filming in Glasgow,he is such a gentleman,il never forget that day.
i actually prefer this over the credits version. it’s way more epic and beautiful. it feels like a endearing goodbye before tragedy, which is the ultimate ending of the film. its like a warm hug that prepares you for the daunting world ahead. its so grand and i cant get enough of it
Have felt like this since 2005 for someone who’s being in my life changed everything and I pray she says yes to becoming my fiancé and soon to be wife🙏🏽
What a beautiful romantic tragedy! I love how Baz Luhrmann has this wonderfully strange yet uniquely beautiful vision in his movies! I must also thank him for introducing me to the amazing band Radiohead whom I first heard in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet.....another wonderfully unique & beautifully executed Romantic Tragedy! I love how Baz uses so many wonderful pop songs in such a unique way! Of course the Great Sir Elton John is used more than once!
Sadness is just a side effect of love; a beautiful intoxication. That moment lasts for forever. Haunted by what we wanted or blessed by what we had. The colours of lost love dance for eternity.
I've stumbled over it for some reason or other... I truly don't know why anymore. But goddamn, I could watch it every day right now. Despite the sadness, it's a fascinatingly lovely film with so much fun in it. God, the set! And all the actors and everything! Each time I watch it, I'm fascinated by something else. That "Like a Virgin"-creation is utterly amazingly hilariously funny and the actor who plays the Duke is amazing! (When I watched it the first time, back-when, I couldn't give him credit because he was an evil Maharadscha, obviously ;-) )
I will always love this song ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Normal people will never have an idea of how pain and sufferment really are 😥😥😥😥😥😢 Despite all the pain and the sufferment, love is the reason why I live ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Love forever ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Fun fact Renee Zellweger, Catherine-Zeta Jones, Hilary Swank, Drew Barrymore, Charlize Theron, Kate Winslet, Kyra Sedgwick, Melissa George, Natalie Mendoza, Sharleen Spietri, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Courtney Love were all considered for the role of Satine at one point. But Nicole Kidman was eventually cast and owned the role.
The song Come What May is my absolute 💯 percent favourite song in this movie 🎬 Moulin Rouge I love this movie brilliant acting from Ewen McGregor and Nicole Kitman ❤
Two thoughts: If your film is only going to have one original song, by GOD they sure made it count! And then, here is this incredible number, with spectacular staging, being presented for the first time, obviously with the full love and pride of the cast, and what does the financial backer say with a dismissive sneer? . . . . "I don't like this ending." HILARIOUS!!!
my dragonfly its been 4 years since you left us. Even though you are gone i still love you Mandie till we can be together again here and never let your memories fade.
For you, my clo: Never knew I could feel like this Like I've never seen the sky before Want to vanish inside your kiss Seasons may change, winter to spring But I love you until the end of time Come what may Come what may I will love you until my dying day Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste It all revolves around you And there's no mountain too high No river too wide Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side Storm clouds may gather And stars may collide But I love you I love you Until the end of time Come what may Come what may I will love you The greatest thing you'll ever learn I will love you Come what may Yes I will love you Come what may I will love you until my dying day
God, I love Ewan Mcgregor in this movie. I knew of him, though I hadn't really seen him in much before, but he stole my heart with his singing. 1:34 to 1:48 will never not give me chills.

one of the best movies and musicals ever.
This song has such a feeling of inevitable tragedy. It’s so beautiful.

Also Kylie, but she instead went for the role of the green fairy instead 😋
@@gingerhale2956 I think Kylie Minogue would've done great too. But Nicole was born for this role.
Nobody could of done played Satine as well as Nicole Kidman

Favorite part is @2:53 because of the violins going into a frenzy as they sing "Come What May."
My favorite part is "come back to me and forgive everything"

Verbalmente Propositado
The only acceptable version of this song
Duchess Satine of Kalevala.

Why did they even make another version besides this one? The album version is awful.

Dream
For you, my clo:
Never knew I could feel like this
Like I've never seen the sky before
Want to vanish inside your kiss
Seasons may change, winter to spring
But I love you until the end of time
Come what may
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste
It all revolves around you
And there's no mountain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
But I love you
I love you
Until the end of time
Come what may
Come what may
I will love you
The greatest thing you'll ever learn
I will love you
Come what may
Yes I will love you
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day
"I don't like this ending."
@Anasia Echavarria "Why would the courtesan go for the penniless sitar player over the maharajah who is offering her a lifetime of security??"
@@gsbpaulino "because she doesn't love you!...him... him. She doesn't love, him"

This is my absolute all time favorite movie! The music is just stunning!
I think this is the version scott and tessa used in their ice dance routine in the 2018 olympics.
