any pawn stars fans recognize the voice?
Yes, Dave Vagi
Its Dave
Update : sold 2,700,000£, without taxes
Thank you.
It was sold at roma numismatics quite cheap considering silver eid mar reached 800K USD sell price and there are hundreds of coins. I think now its sell price will skyrocket if sold to heritage auction. there are current 3 known aureus with eid mar brutus. So probably now one will sell for 10M USD if not more.
Incredible piece of history just wow 🤩 Great concise job on the video!
I really really appreciate the fact that you guys have been reading and responding to peoples comments lately!
Thank you Tylonn, our pleasure! We love interacting with you guys, and seeing collectors weigh in on these videos!
I have seen a silver EID MAR ..
I just got the email concerning this. Wow. Speechless. To hold these things we must remember we are temporary custodians. We can’t take it with us. We must ensure a good plan for the future of these items. Be it grandchildren or otherwise. This deserves to make national news.
A good reminder Jason! Which is why so many collectors choose to house their coins inside NGC's archival-safe holders, which are designed for long-term preservation.
@@NGCCoin I will, once I figure out your submission forms. Haha
These coins should be melted as a reminder they are just metal and we should focus in other goals
@@cuentaeliminada3838 Savage! Made me laugh
If having an EID MAR denarius was already an incredible achievement for any collector, adding an Aureus to the combo might just crown said collection as one of the greatest.
This coin oozes history!
Agreed! This coin would be the hallmark of any collection!
Excellent video of a remarkable coin! The narrative was concise and exciting. Great job!!
Thank you! Yes, our team put a lot of effort into boiling down a such a famous historical event for which there is so much back story!
What a beautiful coin.
Sold by Roma a firm I’ve purchased from. This should be in a museum. I hope to purchase its more common silver counterpart one day.
Very interesting coin and learned something new about a ancient coin. awesome video presentation.
Thank you! Our video team was excited to work with such an outstanding piece of history!
Does anyone know where I can get a realistic replica of this in silver?
Just amazing...even some friends and family who aren't "coin people" are enjoying this one! Thanks! :-)
I never knew there was a gold version out there
The gold coin normally for aristocrat class. Maybe Brutus used to hold this very coin himself
Wonderful video.
सिक्के का मूल्य उनकी दुर्लभता को निर्धारित करता है (The value of the coin determines their rarity).
Anyone have any idea which book is shown in the video? Looks interesting..
It's an old text first published in 1685 called : "Veterum Romanorum religio, castrametatio, disciplina militaris ut & balneae. Ex antiquis numismatibus & lapidibus demonstrata." or Veterum Romanorum for short. You might be able to find a digital copy or a reprint online for what it's worth, but it is written in Latin.
Gold & Silver That's Historical Coins Is very high value you can tell in a movie and history Italian book how the Roman's Society ( Creating Mafia ) ...
this coin was handled by Brutus himself - to touch this coin is to touch the hand that murdered Caesar 2000 years ago.
Eids of March witch means the middle of March I use that expression a lot but what was the date of his assassination
The assassination took place on March 15, 44 B.C. Check out the article in the description, which explains a little more context.
The middle of March witch is Eids of March I wounder if that's where that term started
Outstanding coin!
I have same silver colour coin in uae how i know original or fake?
Is that Dave from Pawn stars
Excellent video! Beautiful and historical coin!
Embarrassingly, I didn't even know there was a gold version of this coin. Wonder what it'll go for on eBay :-)
Yes! You can check up on the auction here to see what it goes for: www.romanumismatics.com/221-lot-463-brutus-av-aureus?auction_id=75&view=lot_detail
I gotta ask but why is the mint so different on all of the known coins? Why does it appear that each of these were minted by completely different maker? Just looking at these online it appears they were not used by the same minting device. The letters are completely off compared to the next among various other oddities. The silver versions of this are also very different so how can it be confirmed that they are in fact real if the only known versions are totally different?
The difference in each is because these were literally minted by a guy swinging with a large hammer, no way in the world that you'll strike the same way twice.
those hammer wore off quickly, you had to make new ones
Beautiful coin, would love to own one.
Awesome coin!
Neat!
So, what book was that opened during the video?
Veterum Romanorum religio. It’s a 17th century histories of Ancient Rome with special interest in numismatics. I also believe the narrator is the subject matter expert in NGC ancients pawn stars uses. Sounds like him anyways.
Thanks for your reply Jason, you are are correct in both observations! There were actually two books shown:
The first showings:
Veterum Romanorum Religio, Castrametatio, Disciplina Militaris ut & Balneae Ex antiquis Numismatibus & lapidibus demonstrata
1685
Guilielmo du Choul
The last showing:
Dialoghi di Don Antonio Agostini arciuescouo di Tarracona intorno alle medaglie, inscrittioni et altre antichità
1592
Antonio Agustín
Hello sir, I own a 2000 year old Roman bronze and I want to sell it
Haw much for 25 coins same I’m from Kosova
Was this Superb Extremely Fine example already cleaned before it was submitted to NGC, or did the third-party grading company conserve it ? Either way, the coin is certainly not in Mint State condition, as stated on the holder.
NGC experts did not perform conservation services on this piece. In regards to the grade, opinions vary, though all of our senior graders agree the coin is Mint State. If you notice, the coin's surface warranted a 3/5 designation, so our experts were taking any small surface friction/defects into account. As the close-ups in the video demonstrate, the level of detail on this piece is truly shocking, especially in hand. When you examine other surviving examples of Eid Mars, we think this piece stands up to the assigned grade in every aspect.
NGC Coin Videos Absolutely yes, opinions vary regarding grading, and the principals at NGC are very good at marketing rare coins.
I would just ignore Roger he’s just such a PENIS and makes these types of comments on many other channels

SIR, Ii have philippine money coins old do you like to buy it 1974 ,1972 ,Jose Rizal coins.
That is not old. Not even close. If you have coins fron 1625-1725. And if they are gold or silver. And if they are in perfect condition, maybe, maybe you might find a buyer. But you won't find a buyer in the comment section on RUclips. Take your coins to a dealer, or try to sell them on Ebay. Good luck.
1970s😂😂
But in pawnstars its valued at 60 grand haha
This is gold, the one in pawn stars is silver, two different things. And this one is graded higher

There was a 33 yr old Jewish Guy. That dead on a cross. Some 2 thousand years back. And 2 tie it in 30 silver coins were in the story.
This is a much bigger deal to 100 of millions round the world.
Cesar J and a Gold coin about his Murder pales in comparison.
Its comparing a star to the son (sun).
The Son of the Talking God.
