I think the lyrics and the eeriness in Those chimes and LH's harmonies in the song are amplified so much when it's slowed down, words hit harder, the beat is thicker and has more density. Lauryn's beautiful voice next to Nas' raspy deeper voice gives it such a sadness that it almost becomes ghostly, also Shout out to the netflix Jordan documentary for bringing me back to this fire song.
