Watch the video above to learn more about how Charles Schwab battled the ever-evolving financial services market from fees to fintech, and how the reward doesn’t come without the risk.

Why Charles Schwab Became A Financial ‘Supermarket’
Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place.
Centre around two key targets. In the first place, remain safeguarded by realising when to offer stocks to cut misfortunes and catch benefits. Second, get ready to benefit when the market turns around. I suggest you look for the direction a representative or monetary consultant.
@@belobelonce35 Exactly why i enjoy my day to day market decisions being guided by a portfolio-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/ analvsis they have, it's near impossible to not outperform, been using a portfolio-coach for over 2years+ and I've netted over 400k

@@edelineguillet2121 I am grateful for your assistance. My finances have been in disarray, and I have experienced multiple losses in my 401k, IRA, and mutual funds. I hope that Julia can provide me with the guidance needed to rectify the situation before it reaches a critical point.
Roughly £120k in my portfolio are in tech/TSLA stocks, can I get an advice on any other stocks that I can acquire to diversify my reserve across multiple markets while creating a comprehensive portfolio allocation that balances my concerns of risk aversion and returns that meet yearly inflation.
You need to hire a financial advisor to help you diversify your portfolio by including Mutual Funds, Etf's, the 11 GICS groups, inflation-indexed bonds, and stocks of companies with reliable cash flows rather than growth stocks, where prices were based on future prospective earnings.
@@leedavis3639 That's correct. At first, I wasn't too pleased with my gains compared to my previous performances, I was doing so poorly, I thought I needed to diversify into better assets, so I got in touch with an investment-advisor. That same year, I pulled a net gain of £550k, which is about 10 times more than I average on.

They got me long time ago by offering no fee atm withdrawal worldwide (any atm that would work) when I was young (much poorer) and traveling overseas. I’ve stuck with them since they offer me the most flexibility in moving my money from stocks to treasury to checking account.
nice
With the flexibility I don’t need to worry about CS solvency since the funds that is invested (stocks, bonds, treasury….) is always secure since they are only the custodian of the account.
yea I've probably saved like $200 in ATM fees tbh. $200 is pretty good
Heck, it used to be even better than free for me, at least. Every time I used any ATM, they credited my account $5. Since most ATM fees were between $2-$3, I basically made money whenever I had to use the ATM.
Not to mention, there were three times back in 2008-2009 where I had cash flow issues (only a small amount, $40-$50), and all three times, not only did they forgive the bounce fee, but they also credited my bank account with the $40 or $50, or whatever the amount was, so that the check would clear. I asked how I had to repay it because my account would not be negative since they actually gave me money. They literally said, "Don't worry about it." What bank does that?! I mean, really, they not only waived the bank fee for the bounce, but they gave me money and never asked for it back. I have been loyal to Schwab ever since, even if that is not their policy now. No bank has ever treated me like that except for Schwab.
me too
Everybody talks about which stocks to invest in; few talk about how to: Make the best investment plan possible, Take risk management seriously, Keep emotions in check on the market..
Keeping emotions in check is a crucial one. Market movements can really overwhelm a person. That’s why it would be wise for some people, possibly even all, if a small % of your networth is managed by someone else. Just to keep a balance.
You just do your own research. Don’t follow advice blindly because everyone’s risk tolerance is different.
The best way to cope with this market is to work with a financial specialist; most individuals have never encountered a bear market, which is why their emotions are all over the place. I've been led by " Helene Claire Johnson ," who has helped me see that profits can be produced in bull and bear markets alike, and I've been doing well with a 15% monthly ROI.
How can i reach this Advisor? I need to take advantage of this bearish market.
I love charles schwab bank. I needed a no fee atm card for travel but they required a brokerage account. Eneded up putting my job direct deposit pay in there. And then i started using the brokerage account more
I like Schwab a lot since I travel.
- Free international checking.
- Charles Schwab Amex Platinum travel credit card.
- Good/Great ETFs.
- Low fee and low barrier to entry Index mutual funds.
- Different accounts. Examples: Roth IRA, Traditional IRA, regular taxable brokerage, HSA, 401ks, ...etc.
The only thing they miss are fractional shares for ETFs.
Agreed if they have that i would use cs more as a brokerage
All true !
That and they have an awful interest rate on savings or uninvested funds. I believe it's under 1%

Love Schwab, their customer service is superb
I find most online brokerages to be better than any bank/cu staff. I supposed they get more in compensation and training.
I've been a Schwab customer for over a third of a century now and they have always been very customer focused and provided very good service and value. That's unfortunately not very common these days. I hope Schwab will continue their path for the next thirty years or longer. I grew up in Germany and this kind of long-term approach to business is more common there. The leading tech companies like Google, Apple etc. are probably striving for something similar, to stay leading and relevant for many more decades. They might take a good look at Schwab to see how this is done - even though the pace of change is probably much higher in the tech space.
How much did they pay you to type this
Well, nothing, of course, @@galacticguardian2783. If they would be asking or paying people for fake reviews it would be time to look for another broker.

I was an e*trade, turned ScottTrade, turned TDAmeritrade, turned Schwab brokerage account holder. All I care about is a good App, large ETF options, and free trades. Do those 3 and I will remain a customer.
I liked the TD Ameritrade app better but I’m trying to give it some more time
What do you like about the TD Ameriprise app that stands out for you?
i like wealthfront for ease of use
@@council6667 I find it easier to research stocks in app. Also, I’ve been on TD for almost 10 years so I know the interface much better
So back to E-Trade? They offer free trades and fractional share investing into ETFs via their automatic investing program.
Also, an excellent selection of low expense ratio Index mutual funds for IRAs. SWPPX, FXAIX, VFIAX, SWTSX, FSKAX, and VTSAX to name a few.
Schwab is an important player in the fintech world. They have very good products imo. Do your research and look at Schwab and you’ll see what I’m saying. These guys rock!!!!

totally love this bank service. 0 maintenance fee and 0 transaction fee on ATM worldwide. And the customer service is next level. The only advise to you is please simplify your trading platform. the interface looks like 10 years old. If you want to bring in the next generation new money you need to simplify the trading platform.
My TD Ameritrade account got transferred to Schwab. I believe they purchased all accounts from TD Ameritrade. This move to schwab really blows. Their website is clunky, the interface is old, and trading on their platform is a chore. I'm really annoyed by this. They should take a page out of Robinhood's user friendly interface and make drastic changes to their website.
You took the words out of my mouth.🎯💯
Agree with you 100%
I also was transferred from TD and i don't like there app interface, very hard to navigate especially when trying to make a transaction, wish they would fix it pr update it ! They also need to allow fractional shares
Schwab is hard to beat. They do better than anyone as a brokerage. I’d like to see them expand their banking operations to have actual branches, etc. the sky’s the limit if they do that.
TD Ameritrade was better.

I’m currently retired, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, I decided to stay on the sideline for awhile, now I’m worried with the numerous bank failures as of late, am I better off reinvesting my savings in the stock market or do I wait?
Given the prevailing market conditions and the potential risks associated with the current economy, I would recommend refraining from investing in stocks for now. Instead, it would be prudent to consider retaining a portion of your assets in gold. Alternatively, seeking advice from a financial advisor could provide valuable guidance in this matter.
True, A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

Schwab is one of the best. I have my personal accounts with Fidelity, but Schwab holds my work 401k. No issues with either one and they seem to offer pretty much the same benefits. I like Fidelity a little more for their website usability (just looks better to me) and their 2% cash back credit card (actually run by Elan Financial, but listed under the Fidelity name).
SCHD with Schwab all the way! 😎
SCHD 💲
I would have went to Schwab, but I met Fidelity instead. Both are great.
Which one is the best between FIDELITY and CHARLES SCHWAB
At 25 years old I opened an account at Schwab because I was moving overseas because their debit card reimbursed all atm fees (foreign or domestic) and for the first time in my life I had access to investing through their free brokerage account which required no minimum balance. 8 years later, I have absolutely zero complaints with their company and services. The website is top notch. Tons of education available and their customer service, like others have said, is the best. Highly highly recommend to anyone. Forget Robinhood or Webull or whatever cheap apps are out there. Get a real brokerage account with a real company.
Although I prefer Schwab over other brokers, Schwab isn't perfect. They do not offer fractional shares for ETFs, and Webull has the best charts on a mobile app. I'd still prefer Schwab, but I'd wish fractional shares for ETFs were available.
They are helpful too. Great customer service. That’s why they are my brokerage
The debit card is worth it alone. No fees at all on anything.
That's very common. Because most feeds you pay are going to the foreign ATMs etc.
CS is my favorite company. Great flexibility living overseas, they have never charged me a penny. Now they have my lifesaving, great deal for all parties.
I specifically opened an account with Schwab before moving overseas and it was just a great experience with them. I would recommend not having all your money with one bank though.

They took over TD Ameritrade, and I didn’t feel like changing my direct deposit at work, making a new logon etc, so I closed my 15 year old TD Ameritrade account before it changed to Schwab. If they had kept the same account number, routing number and logon I would have stayed.

Do you think their salaried employees are lazy too?
@@Your_Wife.s_Boyfriend I was referred into Schwab by another guy I had worked with elsewhere. My Brokerage was TD Ameritrade. Schwab purchased them and just recently integrated all previous TD Ameritrade clients into the Schwab platform. That was a mistake. Schwab should have kept TD Ameritrade as it was. It was a far superior website. What Schwab did was akin to purchasing Kentucky Fried Chicken and then changing the recipe. Because of this, I will be closing my account and opening a new one wit Fidelity or Etrade. It is a challenge to find some comparable to TD Ameritrade (RIP).
For short-term trading, TD Ameritrade was very good. Almost as good as Interactive brokers from what I heard, but with lower costing trades. Great charts and analytical tools too.
Schwab is still very good for long-term investing. Just above average for short-term trading. Many TD Ameritrade short-term traders are unhappy because they view it as a downgrade like yourself.

@@brianadams6204 Since I had a ROTH with Fidelity and was already familiar with Fidelity, I moved 95% of my funds from Schwab to Fidelity. I was with TDA since they were just Ameritrade (late 1990's early 2000's). Their website was so streamlined. The quick ticket was very fast to fill in (Schwab's takes longer). With TDA, you could create several watch lists and open all of them simultaneously. I think I had about 10 of them. It would take 30 seconds to go through each stock on those lists. Not so with Schwab. You can only open 1 at a time. The educational material was 2nd to none. Little things like showing whether the volume of a particular stock at any given moment during the day was considered "low, average, or high" or quickly clicking on reports showing insider trades, analyst reports, etc. I am not knocking their customer service, just their cumbersome website for those of us who did not use Think or Swim. So, instead of learning Schwab's website, I decided to better familiarize myself with Fidelity's.

For customer service, option trading, and travel perks Schwab is better.
For less expensive Index mutual funds, fractional shares for ETFs, and high speed non-option trading Fidelity is better. I highly recommend Fidelity if you don't travel out of state frequently.

Indeed, you should hire an invstment adviser to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than gambling on penny stocks.
The market's uncertainty is one of the reasons I have my daily investment decisions guided by an investment advisor, as their skill set is built around going long and also shorting the market to maximize returns, both employing profit-oriented strategy and laying off risk as a hedge against inevitable downtrends, and when combined with exclusive analysis, it's nearly impossible not to outperform. Since the 2020 pandemic, I've made more than $1.5 million after subsequent investments thus far.
