The Universe gave me a gift. A workshop for which I drove for 3 hours was canceled. I had booked a hotel to stay during the night. And thank goodness I brought my guitar!
I took my guitar, pen and paper and started writing. Before I knew it, the lyrics of my first Dutch song “Scuffed Knees” were on paper. After recording it on my phone, I listened to it again 100 times, and every time I cried. When I cry at my own lyrics and melodies, I feel it's right. It resonates, it's helping me heal. It is such a gift to be able to release the processes I live and have lived. And so I heal myself, through music.
Grateful that I've found my mission.
