  • This gorgeous old Seeburg 200 jukebox has been in our basement for over 50 years. It's still full of records from 1969-71. We never thought anyone could get it up the narrow stairs. But somehow these guys did it. There's a little bit of strong language, but you'll forgive them.
The jukebox is on its way to being refurbished!

The best way to move a V200 is to disassemble it into parts, which is actually easy. Admittedly, you cannot divide the cabinet into different parts, but since you have removed the inside measurement, the cabinet becomes so light that it is much easier to move it. Believe me I have moved my V200 many times since I bought it in the seventies.

Why not take the mech and the amp out (complete backdoor) would have saved some pounds.

Brilliant! And I admire the highly authentic use of "cuss". Until I moved to C-U, I only "swore". Now I live in a place where if you say "cuss" people look at you funny.
So is the jukebox moving to Glasgough?

lets not kid ourselves....this is why many jukebox operators suffered from crushed discs in their lower back known as sciatica *****

Should have taken it apart first. That glass can break easily

Shifting the mechanism like that is not good, we dismantle a bit if we have to.

I hope the mechanism was bolted down for transport, otherwise it will have been damaged for sure.

I agree...bolting down the mech is 101 in the manual***

    It's a VL200. Look at the colours.

Well, it looks like a 1957 VL-200. I have a V200 -- it weights 416 pounds uncrated. However, you haven't lived until you try to move a Wurlitzer 1500A up the same flight of stairs. The mech alone in the W1500 weighs 300 pounds. Total weight is 489 pounds...

the V200 was 1955....the VL200 was 1956....the 1957 was the KD200....the juke in this video is a 1956 VL-200.....approx. 415 lbs.....back door should have been removed, approx 75-100 lbs....the mech could have been removed, approx 50-100 lbs....the dome could have been removed, approx 50- lbs......I tip my hat to those guys, alot of work.

I had to get a Seeburg AY100 out of a basement.......with a 90deg turn in the middle of the staircase. Not fun, but it can be done. Jukebox pros will be mad, since this is improper, blah blah... It's cool anyway.

I can't believe what an amateurish move for North American. Unreal how they just scraped the entire side of it up the steps with no pads at all. Whatever happened to using a handtruck? Total FAIL.

if it did...its just a testimony to the sturdiness and quality of how well the 50"s seeburgs were made ***

@@bestcramden Trust me, you can see how fucked up it's getting with every push. What a bunch of idiots. In like 20 minutes you can disassemble this machine. WHERE'S THE FUCKING HANDTRUCK?????? These are supposed to be professional movers????
