Excellent! Is yours being built in Europe? And where do you live? Please let me know about it, when you get it.
Are you on Facebook? There is a fairly large group there.

Isn’t the bottom exposed? Don’t you get wet from puddles or water splashing from the bottom?

There is an optional (removable) panel, that is great in the cold. But in the summer, it is better to leave it open. And yes, sometimes some water splashes you, but generally, you stay quite dry. If you were on a bicycle, you would be soaked.

Is the drive train exposed to the elements, rain, salt, etc. If so it would be a maintenance nightmare.

By definition, the chain is exposed, so using good chain lube is required. The motor is pretty impervious to most things.

They are a small company, so I don't think they can ship it overseas.

If you're asking about getting a PEBL in Brazil, the answer I think is the same - better.bike is too small to ship overseas.
