Freedom is the first challenge in the challenger series and the first challenge of the Allied Faction. This challenge pits you against three United States AI that non-stop sends paradrops, tanks, aircrafts and later on a stratofortress to bombard and attack you and your AI teamate.

It introduces a new faction, the Foehn Revolt, featuring three subfactions, new units, structures, and powers. Enhanced by the Ares DLL, which pushes the game's engine to its limits, this version adds new features while maintaining gameplay balance.
Mental Omega 3.3.6 requires a working installation of Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge, which must be patched to version 1.001. Released in 2001, Yuri's Revenge is an expansion with more challenging missions focused on preventing Yuri's world domination plan. The original Red Alert 2, launched in 2000, is a 2.5D real-time strategy game set in the 1970s, and is debated to be a continuation of the Allied campaign from the first Red Alert game.
