Typical Mercedes. Beautiful interior, stylish but noisy diesel. VW have had near silent diesels for 10 years. Kia and Hyudai can manage it. Not Mercedes though! It's still a lovely car. 😍

It's actually awfully noisy for such a premium vehicle. Also outside noises are quite high. Definitely lacking good sound insulation.

@@eludereluded yes it is but Mercedes are very charming. You will soon forget it. We have a 2006 C Class which is noisy. I find it characterful. Has a growl to it that suites the car and the autobox. Lovely quiet cruiser too. Really floaty. No diesel is noisy now really. Maybe in the 1st couple of gears and tick over but hey.

@@alextoft9199 It seems to be something with their 4 cylinders though. I drive frequently my fathers W213 E350d with the V6 Diesel and those are certainly very quiet and less annoying when driving. Just idle sounds funny.

@xxzmk 6 cylinders definitely sound smoother but in my opinion the VAG group 2.0 TDI CR is better. We have it in a 2010 Passat with the automatic DSG. Such a quiet and smooth engine. You can't hear it once you're moving. Just a mutted hum. It's quick and economical and has done 300k. Very boring car though

@@alextoft9199 Yes indeed VW does that great. Only the 1.6 TDi is hell to listen to in a Golf 7. No Sound Dampening what so ever. Driving above 120kph on the Autobahn is a hell to my ears compared to my 318d F30 I daily.
