    to most of us, language is key and important...if you say you are one of us then its important to be like us, you may be doing anything in the world different from others or us but language is a sense of pride and definitely your identity, thats why even today people that colonized us forced us to speak their language and that actually gives power to them not even aware that it makes you inferior, it also why when people sound different from us hence they are saying they are part of us it makes us feel like they are selling us out....so the issue of language is bigger than you think but then some choose to ignore and thats okey for them so really language and sound is key to reserve your identity and really makes you stand out...great interview guyz keep doing the great work and personally i would love to see this show not only showing our black music but also other kind too cause if others would also do the same like promote their own that will still separate us as human race, remember Africa is the cradle of the human kind and we shall at some point meet and be one...bigup guyz!!!!
    another point ...it can draw a different kind of crowd and thats an opportunity to sell each others genre of music and grow it

    LOL I will not rest until you guys do justice to this channel by reacting so a South African house track.You can either react to "MOBI DIXON ft INGA HINA-TRIGGER or MOBI DIXON ft NICHUME-BHUTIZA.This channel needs an "Afro Soul touch of SA house msuic".

    I get the accent argument, but there's some South African rappers that sound American like Nasty C..I think it's just the influence (If u grow up watching BBC you can develop a British accent at some level.

    why they probably sound american is because source of inspiration is the amrican sound which is not bad because s.a rap is an offspring of american hip hop.with that said obviously eeven in a child theres some resemblance to the father or mother but don't necessarily impply they are the same but definitely reflects to the roots

    These people are actually insulting us by saying we sound American. Who is to say what influences our accents....what has influenced their accents? Who is judging how they sound. GTFOH with this bullshit American accent.

    • @UbunifuSpace
      @UbunifuSpace  6 лет назад

      No One was judging it is an observation and we voiced our opinion on it. Or we are not allowed to voice our opinions?

    • @kagisosereme1601
      @kagisosereme1601 6 лет назад

      It's so annoying and so old. I mean, that's how we sound...how else are we supposed to speak and sound? It's just so demeaning.

    • @UbunifuSpace
      @UbunifuSpace  6 лет назад

      Its Opinion we are not trying to be insulting its just calling out what we see, its not trying to police you guys to speak a certain way but for us been from another part of the world its new to us so we just call it as we see it thats all. opinions.

    • @kagisosereme1601
      @kagisosereme1601 6 лет назад

      The thing is, every time you guys make this statement it's always in a condescending manner. "How will Nasty C break into the American market when he sounds American" who cares about the American market?? Its like there should always be a more African way of doing things. Are you also not African and why do you not sound African?

    • @UbunifuSpace
      @UbunifuSpace  6 лет назад +3

      +kagiso sereme well i would imagine an artist ultimate goal is to go worldwide right? And we both can't deny that the biggest market especially in rap is in the USA so that is what our comment was aimed at. At the sane time it is fine for him to continue doing him and what not but when we review we just opinions that all artists aims are to push their music to a global audience.
      And if you watch the video once we start discussing it riky put up a good point about here in the UK where we have people in London and then People from Manchester & liverpool. And for us in the UK we all sound different but for somebody outside listening to the people from tge different regions talk you would prob just say they are all sound london etc.
      So for us who are all surrounded by different cultures from within africa in the UK when we are given a artist and he sounds american and not what we may of thought then we will point that out.
      Like you nees to remember we have all been brought up and influenced in different environments. So for guys in SA that will most prob sound normal and sound just fine but for us guys who have not been brought up in same region we could prob point out difference but this whole channel is about learning and discovering. If we are to understand the musical cultures better we have to ask these questions. We can make mistakes yes but it is about understanding both sides better.
      And what you need to remeber nothing here is done in a condescending or malice manner. It seems from the NDA video that is the only point people took from there. They forget we said he is a very talented rapper with goood pucnhclines. We even said the same again mad over you cover. So this whole thing thag we hate Nasty C or w.e i dont seem to understand. Because there has never been a point where we have stated we didnt like his music or what he was doing.
