- Reel mower Gardena 400 - Some pictures from the use my mower, details, pros and cons. Do you like to take care for your lawn, but don´t like loud fuel powered mowers and are tired of pulling cables in and out? Also your lawn is not to big and you need a little movement. Than maybe a reelmower is a alternative for you. In combination with an cordless strimmer you get pure freedom of movement. I like it!

I think the reel mower requires a bit of technique - the rotary mowers are so powerful and efficient that often you require only a single pass. The newer ones have push-button starting.
To make your lawn look nice with the reel mower you might have to:
1) Cut your lawn more frequently.
2) Mow a swath at least twice, once in either direction.
Another option would be to get a gas-powered reel mower. They are still quieter than the rotary mowers.
I USED THIS TWICE CUTS OK BUT THE ORANGE KNOB IN THE MIDDLE WANT GET TIGHT !!! SO THE HANDLE WILL NOT WORK
I do not unterstand fully. There are two knobs. One left and one right...but not in the middle. The knob is for adjusting the cuttinghigh and has nothing to do with the handle.
Same problem i have with this. The main handle in not standing and fall down, the orange knob is loose and doesn't hold the bar.

Hi. Yes it's still working. My routine is to use the electric mower if it's long, for example because I had no time or have been in holiday, and if I have time I use this one. But it needs regularly maintenance. Without this it will not deliver good results. This is my opinion.
