h o w( ~ ? ~ ) . . . does one cease an in depth wide smile pondering of The Dutchman's ( walkway halls lined with big , majestic *. . .* ) a great exchange therein!
Just wanted to try and put something down that I have been thinking about, well two things that may not be connected at all and not mythology related. I don't know if it means anything or leads anywhere. 1) Phillip Gerrard says that the tattoo on his arm said "mom". Mike says he saw the face of god and cut his arm off he doesn't describe the tattoo but says he was touched by the devilish one on that arm so he cut it off. Considering Judy is the one we are talking about when it comes to the mother or devilish one, the fact Phillip says the tattoo read "mom" tells me the actual tattoo was the judy symbol or. If you take a look at it, the symbol could be reconstructed. The circle in the middle is an O and the wings if you like could make an M when combined. Just an idea that has been playing in my mind as I say I don't know where that leads or if it leads anywhere at all. 2) The lady that unlocks the door to Phillip Jefferies for Mr C. This scene upon rewatch struck me as extremely strange. She comes from off to the side and as yet we have no idea who she is in relation to the various lodge entities. It doesn't appear as if Mr C recognizes her at first but also doesn't question it at all either which is very strange. Could this woman be Judy in some form? Mrs tremont? Sarah Palmer? Someone we haven't met yet? No one at all? I rewatched the scene several times and began questioning whether it meant anything at all or whether its just there to be weird. Why was the door locked? Why does this lady have the key?
The same things continue to play in my brain and I made a new connection and now I get to share it. Judy's symbol could be the moon shadow cast down between the twin peaks.
@@michaelpalmer5351 One last thing to note, mom upside down is wow. Wow bob wow, upside down mirrored, mom pop mom. its yrev very good to see you again old friend shows this isn't something they haven't used before in some capacity so it is at least possible.
@@ninjalokust Great insight! I never thought about WOW being MOM upside down, but I wouldn't rule it out. Do you think the Arm or his doppelganger are the one who speaks to Mr. C in episode 2 of The Return about how they want him to get pulled back in to the Lodge so "they can be with BOB again?" That's my best guess for that one.
@@michaelpalmer5351 The arm makes sense since in FWWM we see the arm colluding with Bob in the convenience store. He does seem to be the entity that seeks to control Bob as Mike did when he was whole. It could also just be Mike himself, one of the things I haven't really puzzled together is how Mike seems to have transferred into a lodge entity in season 3. Its one of those mysteries that I just don't feel I have enough information to figure out. Bob seems to be sort of a captive agent in Mr C with Mr C exerting enough influence to outweigh Bob entirely. What is really strange is that, the doppleganger we see in season 2 finale is laughing maniacally the way that Bob does, and Coops behavior at hows Anne and some of the crimes we know he committed afterwards (as implied) seem to show a Coop being controlled by Bob who is extremely emotional and expressive, but Mr C is the opposite, he isn't even like Coop expressive he is almost dead and emotionless. Plus Mr C and Bob are both being pulled back in, so it might be that one of those two is contacting the other to recombine in the lodge given the future past stuff. Mr C might be calling Bob but actually doing it before Mr C gets pulled back in if that makes sense. There is something there that eludes my ability to puzzle out.
