Love your Stephen West shawl and those colours are amazing! Think I might have to try one of his patterns. I going to our local yarn shop to do a sweater course then I can do far more exciting projects. You always inspire me, thank you Suzanne x 😊

Lovely podcast Suzanne. That fabric you bought for a dress and the tigers eye yarn are superb and look forward to seeing your progress. Please show us how you get on with the Luna Lapin dressmaking and a new grey Luna lapin. I love her and wish to make one, have some oatmeal colour felted wool to use. Your socks look super, beautifully made. 💕💖🌸

Sounds like you had a great time at Yarndale - it's one of the festivals that's on my bucket list! I'll have to do some research before I go, we'll likely have to combine it with a holiday.
You might find an Eye of Partridge heel flap easier if instead of making a slip stitch edge to pick up for the gusset you work a three stitch garter border at each edge of your heel flap. It makes it much easier to 'read' which stitch needs to be slipped as it's not fighting with the slipped edge stitches. The garter border also keeps the heel flap from curling so it's much easier to pick up stitches for the gusset - you just pick up from the garter ridges.

Thank you for the heel tip . I have heard other knitters say it is an easy heal to do so maybe I’m doing something wrong . I’ll give that a go , anything to make picking up stitches easier 😊. Yarndale is amazing , and in a lovely part of the country. Lots to see 😊

I had an 11.30 ticket for Yarndale on Saturday, I wish I’d have seen you to say hello Suzanne…. I too went to Lay Family Yarn and picked up the last skein of Tiger Eye but put it back as I was avoiding buying single skeins as that’s what I seem to do at yarn shows rather than buy the sweater quantity that I need…. I love your dress fabric, it’s stunning, I can’t wait to see it made up…. you made some beautiful purchases:)
I bought a lovely sweater quantity of navy 4ply from Laxtons which was amazing value at £5 per skein, some gorgeous alpaca to make a hat from The crafty Firm and some gorgeous angora to make some fingerless gloves… there wasn’t enough time to see everything, I would have liked a ‘lock in’ 😂 😂

Oh it would have been lovely to meet you too . Like the idea of a lock in 😊.I broke all my own rules. I was like a child in a sweet shop 😊

You’ve made me want to copy you with the Christmas blanket and a Luna lapin (a second one for me too) and buy more tigers eye on silky yak and do a boyfriend cardi in the same colour and buy john Arbon yarn. Oh you nightmare! 😍

Your feed just came up, and I really enjoyed it. I too am from Cheshire, but have been exiled in the South-East for 38 years.
I really like your colour palette and, like you, have not been attracted to Stephen West’s patterns as I prefer simpler styles.
