  • Today I am using my new BBQ kit from Cobb. The new grill is stainless steal with an extended coal basket to get more heat beads for faster cooking. I have added wood chips to get a great smokey flavour to our food. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did eating the steak. Please like and subscribe.

How long does a steak of that size take to cook?

Yes the heat beads last ages. So i try to cook more or put the kettle on for a cuppa etc.

Have you tried this as it was intended i.e as an open grill rather than an oven? I need a new cooking plate and its only a little more expensive to get the bigger fire basket and this grill than the standard cook plate. But I can only see the official Cobb video, would be good to see what people think of it in real life.

Yes I have. You need to use quite a few heatbeads to get the right heat for steak and burgers. But great results. I dont use it as often as other plates though.

Not hot enough, boils rather than grills - NOT a bbq.
