Really enjoyed this. Am building my M40i from the factory and was on the fence about the M Sport Differential. Not anymore! 7:40 to 10:00 mark really shows what the M Sport Diff does. Great job!
Regardless of how most enthusiasts feel, these CUVs are the perfect vehicles of today -- powerful, good dynamics (for their size), lots of room, and with a prestigious badge -- all of that for less than what a full-blown high-performance sports car would cost. What's not to like about them? If money is no issue, the 2022 Macan GTS is the best all-rounder. The M240i is what I want (emotionally), but practically speaking, this X3 M40i makes way more sense and checks every box.
Does the front license plate bother you haha? I told my dealer to left it off but they ignored and put it on. So annoying, only way to buy bumper plug paint match but would cost me almost 200🥲

I’m building mine as well! The sport diff is definitely a must. This X3 was on winter tires and it still handle well.
Shopping at the moment. Isn't M differential standard item when going for m40i?
@jamesmin2837 No, it is not standard. It is a 1300 (or 1500?) Option on 2024 x3 M40i. Just placed an order.

I agree! I’d get an X3 M40i if it was my only car, but because I have access to an suv anytime I don’t need one myself

OR, manufacturers start importing more Estates/Wagons and make it the practical/economical models, eg S4 avant or E43 MB or 330D BMW sport wagon).

What? I would be so upset. My dealer use velcro strips to stick my plates on so that it can pass state inspections.

I have 2023 x3 m40i. How do you get the burbles?
I just put it in sport mode, I don’t think there’s anything else u have to do. They might’ve butchered the burbles for 2023 tho if it doesn’t
