    What a remarkable young lady thats not even born in the USA but knows the inner work in the USA. This is a strong message for the brothers and sisters who are born in the USA. Take this message seriously because we all know that the whole world feeds on our trends, cultures, music, etc and etc. Thanks Prof Hunter for bringing on this young lady on.

    Black Techies have to anticipate racist thinking from racist nerds gather in their own space unapologetically and protect each other no matter what. We have to remember our own power and enforce it.

    @Karen, I'm so glad you talked to Dr. Timnit today. On KOH last night, there were remarks made by one of the callers regarding the lack of computer knowledge among Black people and older Black people. Dr. Joy and Dr. Timnit are the examples I held up regarding frontline Sisters fighting the battle. I posted a substantial comment on this, a few of Dr. Joy's activities and how the entire industry supported Dr. Timnit when Google fired her in Dec., 2020. You're always on time, and I'll be glad to bring my bricks to any Knarrative project. That's why I always mention buying spectrum from the FCC... -- @Ms_Butler - NOTE: Towards the end, you discussed having someone who can execute the vision from the I.T. mgt. perspective... I'm your person.

    Great topic. Having worked in the field of labor I believe I have insight. Many are catapulted into financial success by exploitation. Look at many of the draconian laws on the books and who escape being prosecuted by such laws. The laws are for melaninated individuals. Each state has its' own special set of laws that contribute to this unique grounding of suppression. Laws are important when evenly administered.

    You have to question everything. As an african american in a competitive capitalist society i understand immigration in america hurts my group. So of i am competing to win then yes i would be anti immigration. But i also understand how geography has played a role in racism. So to dig the question deeper it becomes should we even have countries?

    • @Theinfamouskiki411
      @Theinfamouskiki411 9 месяцев назад +1

      We shouldn't have borders or countries! We are humans. There is no need for me to feel bad about competition. That's the attitude of those on top. We should be forced to competite in certain industries and circumstances. Mediocrity and status quo shouldn't be allowed. Just because I'm American doesn't mean I'm better than an immigrant. You don't choose where you are born. I'm African American and I adapt and use techniques those from India and Asian and africa use to educate their kids. Their kids out perform Americans of all races, why? That's the question we should be asking!!

    • @kashmoney7421
      @kashmoney7421 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@Theinfamouskiki411 But is this not a competition? Is the goal not to be on top? I have an MBA. One thing they teach you early in business school is about ease of competition and barriers to entry. Companies as good business set up barriers for people to try to start businesses and compete with them. So you just answered your own question. Them kids coming to not play around and take somebody lunch. To outdo someone you have to exhibit a level of selfishness and concern for your own well being that we as a group have had taken from us by people telling us we should be trying to win the morality Olympics.

    23:23 Why I love you! You know what We Need! We need Gatekeepers like Timnit Gebru and her legitimate associates to help protect honest people from the dangerously nefarious AI propositions. Those that are currently and will continually to be offered by WS to weak get rich quick white boys. Black people knowing and understanding it’s economical power of control is WS’s biggest fear! We must love protect and support the Timnit Gebru of the World. Who brings more value to the Black community, her or Beyoncé?🤔 Today’s Entertainers had better get WOKE and realize that this young lady is trying to protect your future. Don’t sadly think that AI doesn’t have plans to effect your future income. This is where your primary Investments should be!

      Indeed even in the black community! We should be learning from immigrants. My kids go to tutoring pods with southeast Indian kids and Korean nationals. They take education seriously! They are not focused on sports or music or dance. It's no wonder they excel. They strongly push repetition and memorization. Failure isn't celebrated or excused. They study at home. Read a lot. I've learned so much and retained what works for my kids and They know that I'm not playing. Social justice is in their DNA and education is the doorway to helping our people.

      @Theinfamouskiki411 . We need to stop with the stereotypes. All Asians or Indians are not "smarter" than other races. There are plenty of black kids that are excelling in STEM. What are you doing to help your community? I have CompSci degrees, Bachelors and Masters. I tutor kids in math and computer literacy on the weekends. Do you volunteer to help tutor other children? Lastly, a well rounded child is important. Children can learn math, dance, and participate in sports.

    The guest was brilliant and I get what you are saying Prof Hunter about creating a "black" AI space. As I further think about it tho we still would have to participate in all A I spaces tho. I think the cat is out the bag and even if we came up with a separate AI space it still at some point would come in contact with the other AI as it learns on the web. How do you stop them from interacting and learning or unlearning from each other? We kinda have to feed them all our knowledge even tho its a sour pill to swallow.
