NBSR CPKC Holiday Train Teaser

Short compilation coverage of the NBSR CPKC Holiday Train move from the Maine border crossing at Vanceboro to Saint John on Nov 21, 2024. This is a rough cut just to get something out till after I cover the westward move on November 22 and can then try to edit it all together. Loads of people were out to witness this move and lots of cheers from kids at some of the schools along the way. Very nice to see how the CPKC Holiday Train in conjunction with NBSR. Now lets hope this can be repeated next year and the years to come.

Ya they used to run that Christmas train through the Ottawa Valley here back in the day on the Chalk River sub between Carleton Place and North Bay. Was nice to see. It’s all been abandoned now too in 2011. Just like the Beachburg sub in 1995. No train at all here in the Valley now. Sad.

This was the first year for the Holiday Train came further east then Brownville Jct. Maine. The communities all along the tracks came out in force. It was great to see the enthusiasm of everyone.
