My degree is in IT and Telecommunications and its Anerkennt in Germany. Thats means partially recognised. Since its non regulated career in Germany, and from the ZAB engineering, IT, the only way to show if its recognised its by submitting the certificate of compatibility given by ZAB. Does that also mean i fall under category 1?
is work experience must for opportunity card visa... i am a fresh a graduate and my degree and university both are fully recognized in germany... also, without work experience i make 8 points...
can i apply for the opputunity card without any work experience ,but i completed mba and german b1
Thanks for the info, i also heard about these docs.
Which is mandatory if our maekseet doens't have a word about whether we studied fulltime or distance education.
The embassy may ask you to submit a bonafide from your university stating the course you completed is regular or distant
@@gargierawatt Thx
Hello, can you tell me in how many days after you get visa interview?? And when you applied for opportunity card visa??
Hi Pursh, I got my appointment luckily in less than 10 days and my visa was approved in less than 3 weeks.
Thank you so much for this information. Please I would like to ask proof of English ( I have ielts) is part of the requirements, but which ielts in particular? General or academic.
Hey there, they have just mention B2 IELTs scoring above 5.6-6.
As per my understanding GT is just enough to communicate, However with opportunity card you would be looking out for English speaking Jobs at a global level I recommend Academic IELTS
Also to add, If you already have IELTS either one is accepted because Embassy haven’t specified it on the website

We have to book health insurance or travel insurance?? For the visa interview
And from which company and how much will it cost in INR and for what minimum duration we can buy it for
Please share this
Hey Aditya
A private or public German health insurance is mandatory for the entire duration of 12 months
I advise to go with Expatrio as it’s recommended by German embassy, I found it cheaper. Also you don’t start paying until you reach Germany and activate your health insurance
Additionally you do need a travel insurance for first couple of months because your health insurance will take time to be activated once you land in Germany and complete remaining formalities
Expatrio gave me free 90 days travel insurance, may be you take a look on their website
Please don’t buy Indian Health insurance because they don’t meet all the requirements asked by German embassy leading to rejection of visa
Regarding payment, I haven’t paid anything yet, my premium will start once I complete city registration in Germany
Expatrio has 3 option to choose from , average INR 3000-6000 per month
Go through their website you will get an idea and then you can choose the right insurance for yourself
Hello Gargie. Thanks for the meaningful information. I do have 2-4 more additional query. Appreciate you can answer.
1. Which Germany consulate office you appear.?
2. In terms of fees any idea anything we have to pay or how we have to pay when we appear at the time interview like Demad draft or something.?
3. What questions suppose consulted asked related to Germany. Like why you intent to move Germany not other EU country.? Why you selected specific city.? Anything they ask you.?
If yes what should we expect answer. If you can provide answer in chat or make seperate video it will helpful to all chancenkarte candidates.

Hello Bhavin, I went to German embassy in delhi,

Hi, Gargie. This is quite useful, however as you mentioned in the end, I am now working and have not resigned. But I want to go on the first of January, and my visa appointment date is the 23rd of September, thus there is already a 97-day gap. Is this okay?
Yes that’s okay, they can probably hold your passport and print the travel dates accordingly
Is work experience in the field of study a mandatory requirement? For example, I completed my engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), but I currently work in IT as a software developer.
Hi Sandeep, it’s not mandatory but advised
However in your case, IT is a bottleneck profession and they need experienced resources so it should not be an issue

Nice info. Can I show my friend's residence as proof of stay for atleast 6 months instead of hotel or Air bnb etc? What proof would they ask for if its my friend's residence?

I don’t know German, I got the visa based on my education and experience
When you submit the VIDEX form there is an option to mention any references in Germany where you can give name of either your known contact or the owner of the place you booked for your stay
They didn’t ask me about any ties in the home country
They gave me a letter with 5 questions as explained in the video where I explained my intentions towards moving to Germany

Hi, your videos have been very helpful.
If you could answer please.
On their website they say if u have 20 hours part time job contract from Germany, we don't have to show that 1200 Euro.
So my profession does not come under bottleneck profession. Actually, i have 8 years of sales and marketing experience (29 age).
Just wanted your opinion is there a possibility to get that part time job ( may be labour or any job) so that i dont have to show financial means.
Is it really possible if it is not a bottleneck profession.
Hi there, You have to secure a part time Job contract before appearing for Visa interview.
yes It is quiet possible to secure a part time job in sales and marketing itself.
I encourage you to please start applying.
Additionally since you are in sales and marketing where 2 -way communication is most part of the Job, hence consider learning German already in India or your home country as it will be cheaper than Germany
@@gargierawatt thanks a lot. Keep sharing your thoughts. Very helpful 👍
Hello Gargie, glad to hear that you got the opportunity visa, and thank you for the valuable information.
I Have a confusion in the term "Fully Recognised Degree" --> Can you tell me what degree you have took and how you shown that it is fully recognised,
Because I have completed my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics and i am in the relevant profession for 3 years and also when checking in anabin website, I got H+ for my university, Is it enough to be qualified in Option 1 ?
Waiting for your response, I am helpless 😢...
Hey there, I recommend watching the next video In this playlist
That would clarify your doubts
Congratulations Gargie !
& thanks for sharing your experience which helps others.
I am waiting for my turn now. Need your suggestions
1) you mentioned about a letter from university.
- did you get that from ur clg or university ?
- did you get the transcripts as well or just a letter to confirm your course was full time ? Can you help me with the format
2) along with accommodation, Did u also get the health insurance for all 12 months ?
Thanks Sandy
1. It’s only required if it’s not mentioned in your degree certificate
If you do need this letter the visa officer will let you know and you can approach your university and ask for Bonafide they will have a template as since 2015 UGC has made it mandatory for the university to mention it clearly on degree certificates.
No I wasn’t asked for transcripts
2. Yes a health insurance is mandatory requirement on the day of your appointment for 12 months plus travel insurance for first few weeks because your health insurance will take some time to be activated
All the best, cheers
@@gargierawattalright.
Thank you.
And i must appreciate your speed of replying..😊
Oo. I just checked my degree certificate, it doesn’t mention “Regular”.
So its better i get the Bonafide as you mentioned.
Q again…
1) Should i approach my college or the University ?
2) Same is the case with my higher education certificate. Do i need to get a bonafide for masters as well or may not be required since the basic education requirement (degree) will be confirmed as regular. What’s your view ?
@@sandypatil125 1. University
2. You’re right that basic requirement is Bachelors however one of my subscribers was asked to show bonafide for his masters and not bachelors
So I guess your highest qualification is counted
Hey Gargie, God bless you for sharing really valueable information.
I have compiled these questions I would appreciate if you're able to answer.
1) Was there anything that lead for them to ask payment slip from his employer and yours and other weren't asked to provide? (It is because they had fews months with a new employer or is it because they have had only one employer or is it because they have few months only experience)
2) How many months of payment slip from employer was asked the embassy (6months, 3months etc...) ?
3) What was the deadline timeline provided to you to provide these additional documents ?
4) What do you recommend for someone currently not employed. As I'm a contractor Software Engineer and not fulltime employee. I have bad experience with having career gaps rejection for University Admission and rejection to jobs. So I'm afraid that career gaps will cause curiosity and embassy/officers will be more suspecios :( while still having excellent motivation letter and overall good application.
Best wishes,
Dawit
Hey there Thank you I am glad you find my videos helpful
1. I don’t know about others but one of them who was asked for pay slips was currently employed and yes that was his only work experience
2. 3 months
3. I was given 5 working days
4. I recommend a good motivational letter and good CV
Additionally try to attach letter of recommendation from previous managers/employer/linkedin Recommendations
Few print out of interview calls or at least job application acknowledgment would be helpful
By the way are you going with option 1 or 2 ?
You could also get A2 German certificate that would really add value to your profile

I'm planning to apply for the Opportunity Card (Germany) and hold a recognized master’s degree (18 years of education) listed in ANABIN. However, I would like to clarify a few points before submitting my application:
1. Is it mandatory to have a blocked account, a sponsor, or a job offer letter?
2. Is language proficiency proof (English/German) required, given my qualifications?
3. I am a PhD student in Malaysia and currently finalizing my thesis. I expect to complete it soon. I'm originally from Pakistan and have over six years of experience in my field. Should I apply for the Opportunity Card while in Malaysia, based on my current qualifications and experience?
Additionally, I would appreciate if you could share any other points from your experience, particularly regarding the application and interview process, that I should keep in mind before submitting my application.
Thank you! @blissful
@@israrahmad701 hey there,
If your university is H+ and your course is listed in anabin then you can directly apply through option 1
1. No, you can have anyone of the income/ financial proofs
2. No with option 1 language proficiency test results are not mandatory
3. Well as far as I know Embassy has individual websites for each country of residence and so the list of documents and conditions specific to each country must be followed. You should ideally apply via German embassy is Pakistan
However I would advise you to check with VFS or embassy to be sure
@gargierawatt the intended duration of stay date in Videx form the planned travel date should be with in 90 days from the date of appointment or we can choose any day even after 90 days ?
There is no restriction on choosing the Travel date.
However, n case of Job seeker visa if your travel date is after 90 days of visa appointment then the embassy used to delay in visa stamping as they can only stamp your visa within 90 days of your travel.
(The source of the above is someone on RUclips sharing their experience with Job seeker visa )

Gargie, thanks nice info. Does age matters? I am 52yrs old BE Mech from prestigious Indian Institute and I just want to apply for 2-3 months visa. Can i show 3 months fund in blocked account?
Hey there, opportunity card is for job seekers
The age has no restrictions here however if you are older than 45 you get to show pension plan etc please visit India.diplo (embassy website for more information)
It will be difficult to secure opportunity card if the motivation is just to visit for few months

Can we book 1 weeks accommodation through AIR BNB and show that as a proof of accommodation for the initial days and after that I can find a hostel or rental flat

However it is advised to show relevant experience to increase your chances of approval
In point based system you can show last 7 years of experience gap doesn’t matter just have a strong motivational letter.
All the best 😊
Thank you so much for motivating and valuable information@@gargierawatt
@@jayapaule you’re welcome 😇
@@jayapaule Hey I have similar profile to you. I have 5+ years IT background but currently not employed. But I fear the embassy officers wouldn't like it as they would think if you're not employed here you will probably have less chance to get job in Germany. From my experience career gaps aren't well accepted when trying to apply for universities, jobs etc... so I think it might need a different approach.
Do you got Visa approval? (Y/N) and Why?
Y because I qualify and deserve it
I’m having a WFH job in IT. Can i continue my current job till i get a new opportunity in germany with this visa?
Yes you can continue with your current Job and submit your offer letter and payslips as a proof of employment
However you must quit your current job before entering in Germany because according to Law you pay tax in India and hence you can’t work in Germany without a valid work permit or business visa
Hey ! I have done my masters and done internships also currently working since 11 months i don’t have experience of 2 years and degree is also recognised can i apply for opportunity card ? i am eligible for that ?
Hey there, yes with fully recognised degree you are directly eligible
@@gargierawatt actually i checked my university is fully recognised but my course is not listed i have done masters in industrial microbiology but there is only masters in science options so what should i do ? The course is related to science only but they don’t specify
@@gargierawatt thanks for the reply ☺️
@@smritirajput2667 what about your bachelors

I need your help to prepare all the the documentations required for the process. Will you help me plz through call or any source?
Hey Deeprash, thank you for your belief in me.
I am however not providing any end to end support as of now as I am busy with relocation and job search
However if you would like to start preparing your file yourself and ask me any doubts you may have I could help you at this point in time
Hii me and my husband both have to eligible for Chancenkarte me go with option 1 and my husband go with option 2 so i thought to show 5 lakh each for current account and show current account statement for each instead of blocked account and one month hotel booking so is it ok ? Or can i use one blocked account for both?
Hello there, for both option 1 and option 2 bank statements can be shown as proof of financial support at least 1027 EUR/month
If you are only showing 1 month accommodation then I feel the motivational letter isn’t strong enough
It sounds like you haven’t planned ahead your job search and it might give an impression that you could use this visa for another purposes like travel in Schengen region etc
I would advise show planned accommodation for 4-6 months
You can choose to show accommodation in different cities and let them know as you move ahead in job search you will know where to spend most of the time
I hope I make sense to you. We are basically trying to convince the visa officer that job search is your first priority and you are well prepared
Additionally you need to show additional funds to support your stay for 12 months if you haven’t booked stay in advance.
All the best 😊🙏
Please know that I am not visa expert However I did a lot of research before applying for my visa so I am sharing the above advise based on my understanding and knowledge
Hello there
Kindly help me I am a teacher by profession but I can't pursue my profession as a teacher because it requires high german language skill and I have done masters in zoology so is it would b a problem for me getting a visa. I can do other jobs related to my subjects but I don't have experience of them. Plz reply
@@MamoonaNazir-on7ug Hello there, In your case see I am not sure what age group you fall into, if you are under 27 then you could still give it a go as Changing ones profession would be easier at the start of your career and easier to create a motivation letter.
However if you have a lot of experience in teaching then I would advise you to please learn german in India at least till B1.
As per my understanding bottle neck profession like IT and Nursing has lot of opportunities for English speaking crowd however for other profession German is very much needed
This is based on my knowledge, Final decision is yours Sir
Well, friend. I applied Germany opportunity card visa June 25th. Till now not yet recieve the mail for VFS interview. That's y asking . within 13 days you got VFS interview schedule. But not yet receive any mail .Do you predict the days baffar time for VFS interview for me.
:) are you able to see your waitlist in vfs website?
Please check your spam folder as well, because in case you missed their email after 48 hours they will put you back in waitlist
If you did not really receive the appointment in that case WAIT is the only option.
Yes, I can view. It's currently active.
@@jananiganesh7750 Active is fine, please check in your spam also for any email from vfs, as I said if you miss their email after 48 hours you status will change to waitlisted again

But 4 to 5 days before applied the persons got VFS interview. It helps much for my upcoming process. Tell the exact date you applied 2024 and when you get the vfs interview. Its my pleasure to talk to you.

well that's strange because Appointment wait list works on first come first serve basis.
don't remember exact date because once your appointment is complete the entry will be removed from your VFS profile
I think I applied for it on 15th June and got the appointment email on 27th or 28th June

Proof of accommodation ? How many months need to book?
best 12 months, otherwise atleast first 3-4 months and explain how you would support rest of your stay as plan of action in the motivation letter
don't forget to show additional funds to ensure your stay is secured
@@gargierawatt blocked account enough? Or extra ?
@@ahammedvk4728 1027*12 months for your monthly expenses
If you haven’t arranged accommodation for 12 months you need to show funds for that too 1027 per month won’t be enough If you pay rent also from that money

Hey there, there are few degrees which are eligible even if it’s a distance learning
Please check on Anabin database. If you watch my video on full list of documents I have shown how to check if your distant learning course is eligible or not

R u going for study or job?
Hey there, opportunity card visa in only given to Job seekers with a work permit to work 20 hours per week
If you looking to study in Germany please go through Study visa
Pls tell age limit
No limit mentioned However chances are better if you are under 45 also in point based system you score different points based on which which age group you fall in
Is pte acceptable?
IELTS and TOEFL are accepted
Basically certificate with ALTE Qmark
I guess PTE does not have that
