Drum brakes use friction to slow down your car. Here's a breakdown of how they work:
    1. The main parts of a drum brake system are the drum, which is a cylinder that rotates with the wheel, brake shoes that press against the inside of the drum, and a wheel cylinder that contains pistons.
    2. When you press the brake pedal, a hydraulic system pushes fluid into the wheel cylinder. This forces the pistons outward, pushing the brake shoes against the inner surface of the rotating drum.
    3. The brake shoes have a friction material on them, similar to the brake pads on a disc brake system. This friction creates a resistance against the drum's rotation, slowing down the wheel and ultimately the car.
    4. Springs help keep the brake shoes in place and return them to their original position when you release the brake pedal.
