Organic Dry Goods - oh my goodness I laughed so hard at that part that I nearly spilled my tea!
😂
It's not a disaster, it's a new business opportunity!
Don't spill the tea, protect the tea at all costs!
"Yeaaah, not so dry anymore, are they ? I'm sorry, ... but you should update your business name" man, that's so perfect Biffa :x
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines when you said "not so dry any more, are they?" I laughed because I had JUST thought the same thing just a second before you said it.
We could call the burnt buildings: the ruins of Coffee town.
A few decades ago, there was a strong tension between two cities: Coffee town and Teaville. Both cities were really proud of their favorite drink and the citizens couldn't resist bragging about it. One day chaos broke out ... A civil war broke out between the town of Coffee and Teaville. The fight was intense; riots in the streets, coffee and tea thrown everywhere, buildings were on fire... Finally, the citizens of Teaville won the war and the citizens of the town of Coffee went into exile.
The ruins of Coffee town have been preserved so as not to forget this difficult time and these tragic moments. Some archaeologists believe that the origin of the war, the spark that started it all, can be found in these ruins.
😂
It can be the Coffee Town TrageTEA.
All campus buildings are stupidly large
The beverage battle!
The persecuted people of Coffee town were lead west by Joseph Espresso who had a vision of a salty pond where they would build the city of Coffeeton. When they arrived Joseph Espresso had another vision where he was given the recipe for cold brew coffee that he gave his people. To this day the people of Coffeeton still only drink cold brew coffee in remembrance of the hated people of Teaport who burned down their original town.
I think "SmarTeaPants University" would be a fun name for this new area.
BrewCrew University! 😏😌😆
What about "a Good Universitea"
🤣🤣🤣 my vote for SmarTeaPants
Great name, I wish I thought of that
SmarTeaPants Universitea*
What about calling it the "MITea“?😂🔥
Witty suggestion. 😂
@@chubiprince wittea
Am I Tea?
great suggestion but better fit for the technical university
@@omerZauber Haha! I stand corrected. 😅
Call the area “TEA University” where TEA is an acronym for Teaport Engineering and Arts.
You could call those houses a "tea-rable tragedy" , unless that's too much
They certainly found themselves in a bit of hot water, if you know what I mean
Those houses were boiling hot.
Yes
A real calama-tea.
Nobody saw it brewing
That hilariously long trip to go suck up water in an unexpected part of the city was great.
Also, those burned out houses look like a Fraterni-tea party got a little out of hand
I'd say that the burned down historical school buildings need fencing for the sake of prosperity and er.... Keeping out rowdy students...
It's a lawsuit waiting to happen!
I think frat boys partying burning down the og school would be a perfect justification for this 🤣
@@JPisme14 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Precisely my thoughts
Coincidentally, I was doing my online homework ON CAMPUS. Just 30 minutes of his charming voice...
🤭
@Helixor Well love from Macau. Let's go beyond Europe and North America.
@Helixor dat gaat je geld kosten :D
8:50 "the big teapot accident in 1843"
Biffa: "Let's just go for one of the smaller ones."
Aquatics Center: I'm about to ruin this man's whole career.
I think you should make the cargo line a tunnel, it would make more space for the university
Biffa just a heads-up in case you didn't notice, the large sports buildings (Aquatics Centre etc) say they can be placed anywhere in your city, they don't have to be in a campus area. So you can spread those around and get their benefits in different areas without having to run your campus area all over the place :)
Fantastic video dude. Was that an elephant roaming near the ruins? :-D around 28:29
The burnt houses?
"Ol' Earl Grey"
Ol' Earl Grey Memorial University
dude I just watched your entire playlist with Teaport within 2 days, I don't know why it's so entertaining but keep doing the wonderful work!
I love the dirt roads, gives it the Oldtown feel.
Keeps the land value down so they upgrade slowly.
Hey!
An idea,
For the metro line (metro track to the railway hub) you've added in the last episode, you could try taking the track from the other side of the metro station and turn it to the right (make a circle) and into a tunnel.
A building or 2 might be lost but it looks more interesting.
also, the t junction there increases traffic ryt?
what do you think?
Btw, keep up the good work!
love your content! :D
A name for the ruins could be "The Almightea Fire Party"?
While the campus something like "Four Elements Campus" (or "Four Ways Campus") , as you have metro, train, monorail and tram really close at hand :)
And they can walk, so "Five Ways" ... which is the name of a big roundabout in Birmingham city centre
Knew from the start you were going to have trouble fitting buildings into that small area, I remember doing a campus area in a plot of land where I plonked down every building possible and I had to really utilize the no collision tools and make my paths completely ridiculous just to fit everything. I suggested in an earlier video you should use the large open area near your large train station for a campus because you really need a ton of room, about 1/4-1/2 square minimum for it alone if you are going to use all the buildings.
"Addams family summer camp" Would be a great name for the burned house spot. HEH
Gotta love a good flooding episode.
😬
His reaction to the unexpected flooding made my day! LOL
Maybe the burned down houses isn't the original school, but the original settlement of Teaport and as it isn't a port but at a lake it originally was called TeaPont.
And maybe it's TeaPont University?
"Universitea Of Biffisms" is my idea!
The only place you can go to learn how to shiftify things and engineer a winky wonky megalopolopolopolis
Love your content ❤️ Keep up the good work Love from London
Thankyou 😁
Awesome city and a great video as always...🤟😁👍
Seems the original settlement school had an accident in chemistry class.
The Universi-Tea, the first school of Tea-Port, destroyed in the event known as Dan-Tea's Inferno
I think the dirt road in your city give it character and the university campus looks amazing
Another great episode! 👏👏
Just FYI, if you or others didn't know, after you extend the zone to where you want it you can erase the bit between and the satellite zone is maintained.
oh, I love the shock in Biffa's voice after 3:45, hahahaha floods
Great video, love the new campus! could you add a bridge over the lake or maybe some lake activities?
Nothing brightens my day like an new upload from you
3:40 The wheeze and the long pause after you spotted the flodding had me rolling 😂😂
I'm wondering, could you do a tutorial on how to best place your industry in relation to the cargo ports? The cargo train and ship station(?) always cause huge amounts of truck traffic jams and I never know how to fix it so just place down more so the trucks which helps a bit but not much :/
Campus area with the old buildings --> "Jason was here".
It looks like a horror movie filmed there :)
Jason was here should be the sub text of Camp CrysTeal Lake!!
Sort of bummed out you got rid of the monorail spike. I was fully expecting a classic old historical university counterbalanced with a futuristic monorail running through the middle of it! Might have been overly posh but would have been a cool option for students to get across campus!
Anyways, amazing video, as always Biffa! I drop everything to watch you build because I find it so relaxing and zen...
Campus name suggestion:
"Lake TeaTeacaca Universitea"
Disclaimer: Name not blatantly stolen from a certain body of water in Peru and Bolivia, completely coincidental.
Lago Titicaca I’m from bolivia but not in the Lake area
Gotta charge tuition! You'll lose money hand over fist! I DO love the idea of having buildings that are part of another (closed) campus or that are in another part of town included in the new university campus. That'll be very cool and even unusual in a good way. Love your Teaport videos! (The admin bldg has a huge dome on top - call it the Teapot Dome Bldg? LOL)
10:53 yes, yes it does. Perfect placement of the main university building.
23:20 Biffa, build paths from the monorail station as well! both to the campus and to the metro station :)
Not exactly related to campus, but how about some areas called Horkshire and Borkshire? (Yorkshire tea/horky-borky)
The pumper truck cinematic was extremely satisfying for some reason. Maybe a pumper truck special in the future? 😉
Great Vid as always Biffa. My suggestion for a name is 'White Elephant University' to pay homage to the white elephant just casually roaming the ruins as well as the Tea company (and also with those expenses....maybe works on that level too!)
Hugo There School for Kids That Can't Traffic Good... that made me chuckle 😂. I must have missed the episode where this one got named, I guess I'll have to find it and watch it after this one.
this is why I love biffa... all the bloopers get included! the flooding! we’ve all been there.
Wow the place rly looks nice and I rly do like the Fakt u add to all build lot of nature
When you showed your university area I thought it was tiny if you wanted a top rated uni. Then you tried to add the school of law. 😂
The other buildings are huge too. I’m not sure a full uni is going to fit when you upgrade to the next levels.
In his previous city of TeaVille, he had a university that ended up having two campuses connected by a narrow strip
Crossing the highway and replacing UtiliTea Park sound like the best options.
You have to wonder if Biffa has ever built a 5 star university before. Anyone that has knows that these universities take huge areas of land. The building are very large. The three main specialty buildings like the one he forgot to place at the beginning are all huge in size.
Yippee Biffa and Teaport on a chilly Saturday Saskatchewan Morning!!
Keep warm!
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines Yeppers, that is the plan for sure!!
Footbridge across the lake from dormitories to university bldgs. Plus bar/restaurants for students build out on the water
Lol that flood you created lol. That made me laugh.
You should see if you could setup a train stop in the campus! You could connect an extra stop to the train hub and intercity bus hub
Such a cool university. I want to see it grow.
And oh my. It's so expensive to maintain. Lol
This is literally the story of my alma mater, the University of Maryland, College Park. There was a fire on campus in 1912 that burned down every building except one. Thereafter the campus was rebuilt and expanded, and later evolved into what it is today.
A great way to start the day!
I really like the style that u have on your city m8
Nothing funnier than Biffa saying he doesn’t want his students to hear the train line right as I hear train breaks stretching while on campus😂😅
Lovely episode! Here's my name suggestion: Fire SecuriTea Coalege
or something darker: Burnt Out Students
wauw 4k upload, you are great.
Finally RUclips processed it! 👍😁
Since yesterday was Friday the 13th, those old houses by the lake with the run down pier looks like Camp Crystal Lake to me
It should be the 'Frank Blackmore Institute of Knowledge' Frank was the inventor of the mini-roundabout and should be immortalised in Teaport
Finally some daily dose of teaport!
Hey Biffa, I noticed a couple of times, that you use the standard bulldozer a lot, when you could bulldozed more efficiently and faster with the bulldozer funtionality (select stuff then CTRL+B) from the MoveIt! mod.
Also: UniversiTea. Creative? Nope. Fitting? What else if not that`?
And yes, footpaths as well can be build as tunnels.
Let‘s just go for one of the smaller ones for now. The Aquatics Center...Oh my goodness me that is huge. Wow, I need a sip of tea for that one.
😂😂😂 Love it. 😂😂😂
School idea: UnitversiTEA of Dedicated Learning Lanes
I recommend the best cup of tea to be have with raw sugar, it does not ruin the taste of the tea itself but reinforces it; Biffa I too recommend for there be a sugar field in your city to sell it directly to the consumer himself.
Good gravy, I'm going to need to buy the campus expansion, too, aren't I?
Im early! We are on the same timezone now Biffa! We moved to the UK!!
👍
Biffa, a legend in his own lunchtime.
"Organic Wet Foods"!! 😄 You're killing me here.
:-)
Hugo T. Orkyborky Universitea
Hugo is among the first settlers of Teaport. He ran a successful cattle farm in Fartea Grove and lived in a Lakeside home until dying in a tragic methane and tea related fire. The Universitea is named after an influential man who was taken too soon and had much more to offer the city of Teaport. The campus paths are paved over his meandering route to his farm which he took daily.
The Horkyborky family is very still influential in the city with Hugo's grandson, Hugo There Orkyborky III, as the current CEO of Orkyborky Mining Company.
On the start square, I do love the dirt roads. I would have gone one step further and and marked all the original buildings as historical so they don't upgrade. In RL that area's house prices would go through the roof.
3:17 it was a smart sonami. It chased the crowd wherever it went
4 mins in and im laughing so hard at the flooding and biffas sadness
“They love the dirt roads”
I feel someone is telling fibs. 😂
It floods like that because if you have a bunch of water pumps in the same spot, they drain the water fast enough to reverse the flow and lower the water level. Once their gone, it goes back to what it was before the pumps were there, which sometimes means you accidentally built stuff below sea level
I don't know Biffa, that Little Tea House on the Prairie section seems like a perfect place for students to get up to some shenanigans, you might need to hire some campus security.
The tragic accident that happened is obviously someone tried to make coffee tasting tea. The universe didn't accept this combination and a wild fire erupted, engulfing the old school in flames.
Suggestion: You do have TWO tram depots now, located on each side of the lake. The one nearest the original dirt road city could go, if you just add tram tracks around the "west" side of the lake. This would also connect two tram networks, making some new possibilities to move more people more efficiently around the city.
you should make a waterfront nightlife area. I've been waiting for you to create one since this series started
I love campus areas. Can't wait to see level 5 buildings.
I couldn't believe my notifications/eyes! ANOTHER VIDEO?!?! Instant "like".
is there a cool looking Pedestrian bridge you could go across that peninsula? From the Main building to the dorms maybe?
It could be Teaport Puerhtechnic, built around the site of the former Tea Kettlement, a whistle-stop town between the train line and Lake Pekoe (the second). /I'll see myself out...
HAHA thank you for standing your ground on the dirt roads. Hahaha let them complain all they want, love it! :D
The old university dorms burned down in "the horrible kettle accident" in 1976. The ruins were known as "Black Kettle" ever after.
Rainy day and a 🫖 🚢 episode, what could be better?
Someone spilled hot, steamy tea on that old school, and it went ablaze
Teaport videos are by far my favorite if you are considering changing your ratios
Very Nemuro Memorial Hall of you, Biffa.
Could call it Phi Kappa Tea, the haunted fraternity.
Organic dry goods made my day :)
The burned out houses could be like a paintball area on campus grounds? could be inside the campus park as well and it will give the Teaport citizens something cool to do ;)
If you need more space, maybe you can take the highway underground.
There's also the small road running through the area you can do the same with.
Then you can have the walking path above ground as well. No one likes walking through a dark tunnel at night.
Ok regarding the ruins, hear me out, there's a Chinese black tea that gets smoke dried over pinewood fire. It originates from the Wuyi mountains in Fujian province in China where I studied abroad. The tea is called "zhèngshān xiǎozhǒng", but is also known as "Lapsang souchong" in English. I feel like we could say they tried to recreate this special type of tea but unfortunately it ended in a tragic accident. We could call it after the tea's name or we could play on the Chinese word for smoked tea "xūn chá" (chá means tea in Chinese). If that's all too complicated (especially pronunciation-wise) we could also go with the Chinese word for pinewood "sōngmù". No one will ever look at the pine trees in the uni area the same way again after hearing about that pinewood fire calamity...
University of MN has an area where they study what happens after people leave. With a bunch of abandoned buildings in the middle of a random field. So, is just a place to study. ;)
Do you have any Snowfall episodes? Love you're videos. 🥰
OMG, I laughed so hard to "Hugo There School For Kids Who Can't Traffic There." Zoolander and Hugo There collaboration!!
Biffa I was wondering if you could tell me what themes (base theme and custom map theme) and color styles you use for Teaport.
A university on a lake? University of Yorkshire Tea, surely!
Biffa is like a kid in the candy store when chooses policies for the campus and adjust prices
Early Grey Universitea has a classic uni vibe to it
Teaport Gla-TEA-ators would be awesome haha
