I LOVED the ending. I still haven't melted it in my mind yet, so I can't concentrate on any other book! I'm so glad it didn't just end after the epic final battle (no spoilers), but that it was like a hundred pages of aftermath. Also, I was very anxious about if the ending would be like the Harry Potter epilogue... Fortunately, it wasn't. I'm looking forward to reading the next book of Paolini!
The very first big book (over 200 pages) i read was actually Eragon, and also, when i brought inheritance to school, some people thought i was crazy for reading an 850 page book
I actually bought that book when I was really young and it wasn't famous yet :D I started reading, but then I stopped because I thought it was kind of boring. I hink that was because I was so young. But one Year later I started again to read it and now I can't live without Eragon anymore :D:D
Guys you know that there is going to be a 5th book that is going to explain everything that have been left out so don't crazy about the thing that are explained.
If he writes another book, I'm not too fussed with him making a book about events after the series, but I would like to read about the Dragon War, The fall of the Riders, Brom's story and Angela and Solembums' background story.
I was way more saddened by the ending than mad. As many have also hoped, I wanted some greater relationship to develop between Eragon and Arya. She left so quickly and abruptly from Eragon that I feel that without the chapter where she reveals Fírnen, there wouldn't have been enough closure. I do feel that Christopher wrote that way intentionally (leaving so many questions unanswered) because he wanted to give the readers the ability to envision their own story after Eragon leaves Alagaesia.
Anyone else notice the books disappearing in order of quality? Eldest obviously being the best and Brisingr, so far, the most disappointing in my opinion. Lets hope Inheritance is indeed the second best!
Nasuada(to galby): "I'll cut your heart out with a spoon!!!!" Murtagh: why a spoon, Nasuada? Why not an axe? Nasuada: "Because it's dull, It'll hurt more, ya twit."
---------SPOILER ALERT---------- > Climb onto Saphira > Fly to Gil'ead > Acquire whatever drug the Empire used on Arya and you to suppress magic and slow you > Visit Ellesmera > Spike Arya's drink > Create diversion by shouting, "Look, nature!" > Stuff Arya into saddlebags > Fly by Illeria and magically carve "I LUV MAGICK" onto Nasuada's forehead > Fly east and throw dwarves off of Saphira to measure wind velocity
I was reading Inheritance in school and a girl comes up to me and says 'Oh! I love that book! Did you know that -------- gets the green dragon?!?!?' Of course, it was totally ruined and I missed out on the surprise
I'm not trying to argue with you, because I mostly agree with you, not very astounding ending (with the green dragon that is). But maybe that's what he's going to continue reading about? just theory :P A year after you comment that... I feel smart xD
"That green dragon has a very interesting role to play in the story." Except no, it doesn't. Major reason for this would be the fact that it appears at the very end of the book, after Galbatorix has been defeated. I was surprised, but not astounded.
@AHighPwner I think he should have gone back for Murtagh. It's exactly what Murtagh wanted! A place to stay away. He wouldn't have the Varden or those still faithful to the King up his ass for being a traitor. Eragon and him could have FINALLY become brothers. Other than that I enjoyed the ending.
or sometimes i read Inheritance and think i wish you would've not made such a disappointing ending........ I think Christopher Paolini is a wonderful author.....except for the ending of inheritance....

I wish Eragon and Arya would have gotten together, great series. Hope you write about what happens afterwards though.
the green dragons role is in the last 50 pages..
The very first big book (over 200 pages) i read was actually Eragon, and also, when i brought inheritance to school, some people thought i was crazy for reading an 850 page book
God i hope he continues to write about what happens after eragon leaves alagaesia with all the eldunari and 243 dragon eggs lol
I now have an excuse to not do my homework.
@gnauhZ as in after reading the 3rd book. It was obvious for me that _____ was gonna be the rider.
I actually bought that book when I was really young and it wasn't famous yet :D I started reading, but then I stopped because I thought it was kind of boring. I hink that was because I was so young. But one Year later I started again to read it and now I can't live without Eragon anymore :D:D
@gnauhZ how was it obvious? and to begin from as in from where?
Hahaa, I finally have an excuse for not doing my homework 😜😜😂😂😂
So why can't Eragon just say "Screw Angela's prophecy I know the name of names I can just alter fate and go back to Alagaesia!"?
the green dragon's name is Firnen with an accent on the i, i would guess pronounced fear-nen ? :l i wont say who the rider is tho!
@TheSimpleInstruction LOL trueee..
Okay that blinking eye was lame. Lol.
@ProTunafish It was pretty obvious to begin with though.
@UberRuler A lot of people do. Including me, thanks.
@CosmicTsuki i was just thinking that, hahaha
Guys you know that there is going to be a 5th book that is going to explain everything that have been left out so don't crazy about the thing that are explained.
@UberRuler lol I'm just pretending to be mad really. I've already read the book
If he writes another book, I'm not too fussed with him making a book about events after the series, but I would like to read about the Dragon War, The fall of the Riders, Brom's story and Angela and Solembums' background story.
COULDNT AGREE MORE!
I GOT REALLY ANGRY WITH THE ENDING!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

got question why is eldest bigger then inheritance in hardback
Anyone else notice the books disappearing in order of quality? Eldest obviously being the best and Brisingr, so far, the most disappointing in my opinion. Lets hope Inheritance is indeed the second best!
and one more question how long did it take you to write inheritance
most of the answers are in the book four.
Exited!
When are you going to publice book 5?
Nasuada(to galby): "I'll cut your heart out with a spoon!!!!"
Murtagh: why a spoon, Nasuada? Why not an axe?
Nasuada: "Because it's dull, It'll hurt more, ya twit."
@meleki921 Holy SHIT!
I just went back and read that. I got chills!

@AHighPwner I've read that there's a big chance that there'll be a book 5
I don't remember this. but did Saphira restore the jewel of the dwarves? i guess christopher missed her promise
I was reading Inheritance in school and a girl comes up to me and says 'Oh! I love that book! Did you know that -------- gets the green dragon?!?!?' Of course, it was totally ruined and I missed out on the surprise
@vadparaszt007 did you get it?
She did.
@vadparaszt007 Where?
how many people new exacly who the green dragons rider was!
I'm not trying to argue with you, because I mostly agree with you, not very astounding ending (with the green dragon that is). But maybe that's what he's going to continue reading about? just theory :P
A year after you comment that... I feel smart xD
@florian that's true and funny
@5Corundum5 I laughed so hard at this ROFLMFAOSHIDMB.
Hey, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin....
Unrelated -_-

Dude I hated the ending! So many things were left out of the book! AAAHHHHHHGGGG! Made me so upset.
haha the green dragon had no role in the story it occupied like 50 pages .
He did not play any role in the story D: He came in after everything was finished :(
Damn right the "Green Dragon" has a very "interesting" part in the story. Like this if you know what I am talk about.... Mmhmm.
@MewPkmn that must have sucked soo much :|
dude don't be so simple minded you are missing the point of it all...thats why you would never be a dragon rider....!!!!!!!:)
Aye. Too much detail is bad.
yeah i hated the ending... IT MADE ME SO MAD
it barely had an interesting role, firnen, as he's called, was only in the last 75 pages or so.
