I am from Kashmir and have grown up eating bakarkhani for breakfast my entire childhood. It's the best breakfast ever. I currently live in USA and whenever I go back home, this is what I have for breakfast. One cannot find this delicious breakfast anywhere else in the world. Thanks for making and sharing the video. Bakarkhani is a Bangladeshi Dish, invented by the Afghan soldiers,who used to live in Sylhet. Than it came to Jahangirabad ( today Old Dhaka). In it’s authentic version water is not used. Dudh ki malai aur makkhan se bante hai. Agar aisa ho to hi original taste milega.
Exactly. I was waiting for someone to say this. Whenever my cousins used to come from Dhaka (I live in Calcutta), they used to bring this for us. Although we used to call it 'Bangladeshi Paratha' when we were young 😅
For your kind information those afgan comes india from western states first, now Pakistan was part of India & bangla desh was as well so you can not say that it is bangla deshi food.
Souvik deb, it is available in Kolkata as well but you have to go somewhere in Muslim area where you can find local bakery runs by Muslims, in early morning you can get it. I used to had. And hope still it is possible to get because it's been a long time I am not in Kolkata.

The rebels which were captured by the Mughals were made to serve a type of bread associated with their Afghan culture (which would later be known as bakarkhani). Now, A little addition. I think you are probably unaware of Agha Baker Khan, A land lord of Present day Barishal. On his name Barisal was named Bakerganj. Now, why I am telling this? Because,Agha Baker used to love a girl,Khani Begum. Baker khani like naan was use to exist before but not Bakorkhani variant.This variation was made from pure Ghee, mawa, milk, pistachio and many special ingredients not like other naan. It's a blend of Afghan naan and some special technique that was historically invented on Sylhet. And after the death of Khani begum,on the love story of Baker and Khani, Afghan's name this BakerKhani bread. So, it is invented in Bangladesh not in In dia.

Later Mughal shape it into an united empire,where every Kingdom was independent and than come British and they divided it into India and Pakistan. About Kolkata and Bd. Bangladesh also lived a life of Independent Sultanat E Bangla, whose ruler was Sultan Shamsuddin Ilias Shah and it is him who name his empire Bangalah. He even defeated and forced Feroze Shah Tughlaq to withdraw his forces and Iliash Shah also invaded Orissa,jajpur, cuttack chillika lake, Kamrupa ,Assam. Not just so, he successfully invaded Nepal. So, don't be in the dream that Bengal was always ruled by India. For 150 years Bengal Sultanat used to exist. And yes you may speak Bengali, but our Bangladeshi Bangla, our culture, food habit everything is different than yours. I can simply say : Langra is a mango, Al fanso is also a mango. But there’s huge difference in taste, making process. Not Bakar khani only ; Dhaka aka Bangladesh also invented legendary Maslin cloth, which extincts now ( available only in British and Bangladeshi museum). And if I go to history than Jahangirabad was even older, enriched than your Kolkata. Old Dhaka was capital of united bengal presidency and established in 1608 and Kolkata established only in 1686. So, our Old Dhaka's history is richer than you gentleman.
