Never before in the history of RUclips have so many people awaited the arrival of a piece of plastic from the post office! Seriously though, I agree it actually looks great without the rear bumper. Those decals are AMAZING and like always you have done an incredible job! Thanks Jon for sending these cars!
I've always pronounced it as ER-TLE as in Turtle. As I've mentioned before 1:18 scale is easy to customize compared to 1:64. These 3 you've done are great, I hope you do more 1:18 in the future. Great Job! I would have painted the engine "Pontiac Blue", I not sure what color the Trans-Am engines were, all the early GTO's 389's & up were blue. I'm looking forward to the GTO John is sending you. I had a 1964 and a 1966, The 64 was a Le-Mans with the GTO option in Silver, the 66 was a 4 bbl version, in Burgendy. Regards Tom USA
Hello It's pronounced "Errrrrr Tullll". I live like an hour and a half from there. Ertl. Not being a smart-mouth. Dyersville, Iowa. (Yes, Field of Dreams) They have a die-cast museum there.
Yeah don't hype it up , they don't have to much in their and charge quite a bit... what I miss is the outlet store , years ago they had cool diecast cars along with model kits , but now all baby stuff and a few Tractors if your into that..
Спасибо за ваш труд. Эти золотые руки могут делать только шедевры. С крупно масштабными моделями ролики мне нравятся. С меня лай и уважение к вам мастер.
Phew! Those were a lot of steps for the headlights. Also, for people who complain in the comments.... Unless they sign your checks from RUclips, take it with a grain of salt. You give quality content, so just keep doing what you're doing D.R.
I love the trans am that came out awesome. I just started customizing hotwheels my friend sold 4 models and I redid them such long process but with it in the end I just cant figure out how to get the hazing out of the windshields.
Awesome job on the T/A! I don't know though, the video was missing something......let's see....oh yeah needs more Twisted Sister lol. Keep up the great work, loving these larger scale cars.
What a beauty! I think without the bumper would be cool😎 I have some 1:18 cars in storage, would like to send you one for yourself, and one you can do for me! Your work is BOSS bub!
You really pimped this one... *Pimp Blubs* I'm sure you thought of this, but the idea crept in my blubby head that the bumper could have been negated with some well placed and shaped body putty. Then you could have had that sweet Vette rear you mentioned. Just blubbing out loud... Hey.. *GREAT JOB MAN!!!*
Great resto 👍 ever think of putting in mini LED lights in behind The rear and front lights ... 6v Bart. & mini switch...i build plastic models and have done it on some of them.
Looks exactly as i hoped it would. Nice job....cant wait to see the GTO project. Canada Post always sucks in the summer( i figure its due to vacation season).
Awesome! I was wondering where this video was! Didn't know about the bumper... but I'm glad we got to see this! I love the 1:18 scale Sorry I wasn't chill waiting for this...but I think I missed the part where you were waiting for the bumper!
This came out great. T/A are Great to drive and Beautiful but, I just got a NOVA SS with 396. 😉 I'll wait a year to paint. Hope you can do this just like this one. 👍
Wow it came out great, back in the day a friend mine had one like it. One of my favorite memories was going down Katy freeway at 120, he was fifteen and I was 16 we were high as a kite.
Looks great. Dumb question. Why not make a sort of mini bumper for the back out of a fairly flat, but curved to the body of the car. It gives it a much cleaner look. I did that to my 65 F100 and it looks way better than a chunky bumper
They way this is progressing, by the end of the year I’ll be expecting a full scale rebuild and paint on a regular size car! I’ve got a 1964 Ford F100 that needs a bit of work :-)
awesome work man,yes I agree you should try restoring a few more 1:18 scale me thinks, love these bigger scale,I have heaps in my collection, you have it all pretty much down pat now with your skills, keep up the great work, cheers
Looks amazing, as always. Although I am very slightly disappointed that you didn't go for a red air cleaner for the full Thunderbolt and Lightfoot look...
I can’t believe people here give you shit for not doing it their way. It’s your car, your channel. This one was exceptional. Great work as usual.
Who said that
First? Dicast res is the best. I don't even really car about the cars (even tho they're awesome af). Just enjoy his commentary!

To clean clear plastic, I use 1000,2000,3000 grit followed by meguires plast-x. Works great for 100% clarity.
"Just jam it in there, aggressively". Will do!
You did an exceptional job on this 👍🏻👍🏻 looks fantastic. The position of the Phoenix bird looks better than the one ERTL did
This 74 year old great grandmother had a 1979 copper transfer and I wish I had it back. Great job on the trans!
That bumper better hurry up, George is getting angry! "Shut up'n work, Boy!" xD
Watching restores are so addictive!!!
My problem though, I'm making silly sounds like you🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mike Cochran i dont know what you mean....... blub blub blub blub... get out the way jimmy 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Nothing like singing a little twisted sister while you polish a fresh trans am! xD it turned out beautiful!!!

I remember when these were introduced... so beautiful. You've done justice to what was once crusty. Thank you!
Knocked it out of the park . It don’t need no stinkin bumper lol 😝. Enjoyed seeing ‘‘this one wrapped up looks pimp.

С меня лай и уважение к вам мастер.
Nice finish to it. Lot easier working the larger sized diecast cars!😍
Again, only the highest of standards, exceptional quality. If I win the lottery I'm flying my MX5 over from Ireland for a respray.
Dub dub. Love it! You're the best...forget the bumper. Cover dem holes and call her done!
Great job. Your eye to detail on paint and decals is impressive. I truly enjoy watching all of your videos.
7:00 you got it 👍🏽 rhymes with “turtle” 🐢
THIS IS PERFECT.
your decals are GORGEOUS. Got memories in my brothers trans Am. You are absolutely right about the bumper. It looks great without it
Good build. The Screaming Chicken looks great.
Very much worth the wait. That paint and decal job was awesome.
Super crisp and clean. So nice! 😍
Love the build was waiting patiently for part 2 lol
Keep those sweet 1/18 resurrections coming!
The placement of that scoop on the side looks correct.
Phew! Those were a lot of steps for the headlights.

Fantastic looking T/A!! I had the honor of doing a real life '71 several years ago. White with blue.
Love your paint work. Best on YT. Not much else to say about that.
Im really appreciating these 1 :18 cars you have worked your magic on , I will make these the scale I collect 👍
It would be awesome if u did restoration on 1 18 scale cars 👍n great video 👍👌

I really like this build in white. Very cool.
Worth the wait. Looks badass. The white and blue is very clean looking. Great job.
So relaxed. You just don't stress about anything. Love your videos
Good things come to those who wait. Excellent work sir
I've enjoyed everyone of your large scale resto's and this trans am is just the business! Great piece of work as usual.👍
Great rebuild! I'd say that it looks like you've been doing 18 scale cars for years!
Excellent , looks really smart in white.
Nice work on the decals.
Looks great. I think it looks right without the rear bumper. Clean.
Looking at the before on Part 1 to the finished product on this video. Kudos, man. Wow! Now that is a big change and looks amazing.
Came home from work to some fresh Diecast Resurrection. Thank God.
Nice resto DR! I appreciate all your hard work every week. Thank you.👍🏼🤘🏼😎
Awesome job on the T/A! I don't know though, the video was missing something......let's see....oh yeah needs more Twisted Sister lol. Keep up the great work, loving these larger scale cars.
Another beautiful piece of work. With your standard of paint finish you should change your name to Picarsso.
The white is beautiful. Another perfect Resurrection!!
What a beauty! I think without the bumper would be cool😎 I have some 1:18 cars in storage, would like to send you one for yourself, and one you can do for me! Your work is BOSS bub!

Aww yeah!! That is so awesome! love the decals :D one of your best jobs to date, I reckon.
That was AMAZING as always. Thank you for being you.
Beauty. I always said it looks better without a back bumper. Thanks for posting this was worth the wait.
Looks exactly as i hoped it would. Nice job....cant wait to see the GTO project. Canada Post always sucks in the summer( i figure its due to vacation season).
Looking forward to the GTO! A carousel orange Judge is one of my all time favourite cars

Good Idea with the rims !
The firebird emblem looks Pimp! I loved this one!!!

Well done!!!
Red interior would’ve looked very nice, but it came out pretty sweet, great job!

Sorry I wasn't chill waiting for this...but I think I missed the part where you were waiting for the bumper!
Great vid.
Would be cool if there was someone like you who could make the parts that were missing too. Maybe a 3D printer guy.
Makes me wanna blast "Trans-Am(Highway Wonderland)" by Sammy Hagar
Thanks for putting the S D decals on the shaker scoop . Correct for 73 model year T/A. Last of the muscle cars, after 74 they were smog dogs
Just awesome!
This was an awesome job and the colors on the good really stand out against the white body like that..
Very cool indeed...
This came out great. T/A are Great to drive and Beautiful but, I just got a NOVA SS with 396. 😉 I'll wait a year to paint. Hope you can do this just like this one. 👍

Looks great. Dumb question. Why not make a sort of mini bumper for the back out of a fairly flat, but curved to the body of the car. It gives it a much cleaner look. I did that to my 65 F100 and it looks way better than a chunky bumper
ah finally the Trans Am back on track 😎👍 wow that looks really awesome, also without the bumper
You should have painted the motor Pontiac blue. The 1970 with twin hood scoops is my favorite car.
They way this is progressing, by the end of the year I’ll be expecting a full scale rebuild and paint on a regular size car! I’ve got a 1964 Ford F100 that needs a bit of work :-)
