I have a Stepsister who just purchased a home with a $25k Government "Grant" the money isn't free. It's added to the loan and she is required to pay it back after she pays off the loan. Meaning the $25k continues to collect Interest, for 30 years. She is currently paying off the Interest of the Loan $230k and very little of the Principle. So it seems to me the Government or investors are loan sharks. My Stepsister is 62 years old, she will never pay off the loan and because of that the Investor will end up with the home with only a $25k investment. The Government does not give you anything for free, someone else pays for it! "of the people, by the people, for the people"

If Ms. Harris gives out money for down payments for homes, people who can't afford houses will get houses they can't afford, and what happened in the first house buying subprime mortgage deal will happen with Harris giving money away, because people who can't afford houses will get the money from the government, and buy homes they have no resources to make the payments they need to pay.
