I really can’t understand Swedish people. They have so many masterpieces in Melodifestivalen and they keep voting some bad songs to send to Eurovision. This has WINNER written everywhere! Awesome song!

I read comments like this on like 75% of the entries in MF every year, so people will whine at us for choosing the wrong song no matter what we pick :P

I agree. Sweden has three amazing choices - Wiktoria, Lisa Ajax and Anna Bergendahl. Either of the three would probably top my list. However, Sweden will probably choose something cringy, like On My Own.

This song reminds me of a murder case 4 years ago as of July 10th this year in Denmark that is still unsolved to this day. "I can't hold back im shouting out in the night, im all ghost surviving the light" represent so clearly what happened to Emilie Meng, as she probably screamed for her life when someone took her during the night. She was only walking home, trying to survive the dangers of the night. "hope one day you'll see there's a beating heart and its ripped apart" tells us from one moment to another an innocent life with a beating heart is suddenly killed and taken away from us by a motive so evil it can't be real during this abduction. "I can't breathe when you're out of sight" and " I am torn I am torn, you broke me into pieces" the sheer pain those words mimic for the friends and family of Emilie suffering in pain with still no knowledge of who the killer is because of extensive bad police work, that left all the most important evidence gone like the wind. I also want to note the strong emotion coming from Lisa singing this, is absolutely intensifying everything to do with this song. There are just as many cases out there as this one, but what startles me is the fact this happened in my own little small town. These cases are rare to ever happen in Denmark and shocks everyone like the Lisa Holm case shocked all of Sweden, only that this case is not solved yet and probably won't ever be solved. Let's be honest, it's an amazing song, I love it, but her last 30 seconds of live performance went entirely crazy. Her voice was out of control and even pulled me out of the fantastic atmosphere she was building during 150 seconds. Fix that as we can hear it in the studio version and we'll have a real winner.

Yeah, I mean, that part is the climax of the song and the high notes suit very well. What I'm saying, is she did it wrong, IMHO. It's the moment of goosebumps, the wow-moment but all I was thinking was "why is she singing like that? That doesn't match the music!". Instead of leaving me without words like the studio version does, her live performance was disappointing to me, maybe I was expecting too much, I don't know.
