Yo. Just seeing the variety of decks for cEDH is amazing. My online meta, and the metas of a few cEDH youtube channels, have gotten a little stale. It's the same 6 decks and none of them appeared in the top 4 of Philly? This is truly a breath of fresh air.
So, for your personal meta, one of the coolest house rules I've ever seen is a group that bans overly winning decks. I can try to find the rules, but basically, they hold smallish tourney and if a deck wins something like 3 out 5 or such, it's retired to the Hall of Fame and the archetype is banned (using common sense of what counts as archetype). Amazing stuff for honoring victory, keeping things fresh, etc.

The Emrakul into Demonic Consultation was disgusting. And I hate to admit it, but I loved it. You only see Demonic Consultation in cEDH, and I hate cEDH on principle, but that was absolutely hilarious.
This made me wonder. If an opponent casts demonic consultation and I flash in Aven mind censor, would they just lose if the card they named is not in the top 4? I know it’s still counted as searching your deck but not sure how it would work out.
Demonic Consultation: Choose a card name. Exile the top six cards of your library, then reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a card with the chosen name. Put that card into your hand and exile all other cards revealed this way. Aven Mindcensor: If an opponent would search a library, that player searches the top four cards of that library instead. Mindcensor stops searching only. Consultation does not search it reveals cards. Mindcensor does nothing against Consultation. On top of that they'd lose if the named card was in the top 4 anyway as it exiles your entire library afterwards.
Watching corey and Steven play cedh pains me... Also missed all those smothering tithe triggers from thrasios activations because it does in fact make you draw the card.
As much has things have changed, its surprising to see those changes remain after losing 90% of viewers. I do not see how this lost leader is going anywhere still.
@21:00 Jon with an infinite combo on the board and the ability to tutor with a wishclaw... gets attacked for 3... gets salty saying, "I'm not the threat". Stephen had an oath of nissa - very threatening. Jeremy had an elked Bowmasters and a 2/2 army along with a mana vault. On top of this, if Corey does attack someone other than Jon, he is allowing Jon to get one step closer to making the mindcrank go infinite. 100% of the time, I'm attacking Jon. Homeboy needs to take his medicine and stop complaining.
Please make this your last foray into CEDH. None of you seem to actually enjoy it when you play it and don't know the format well enough to play it effectively.
Cedh should not be a thing and I’m disgusted every time I see it. If you want to be competitive you have SEVERAL formats for that all of which have better rule sets for optimization. We all know why it’s a thing though because all the spikes got kicked out of the cool cats club. Literally everything done in CEDH is to undermine the entire point of the format. You run every tutor in the world to remove any variance, you run commanders solely for colors IE: partner commanders and not for their mechanics, you run the same 5 cards every deck runs removing viability of anything else.
I mean if you're worried abou the same 5 cards, take out command tower, sol ring, the signets/talismans, cultivate and kodama's reach from all of your decks as they reduce the creativity you have.
