I think God has always wanted a relationship with us in the old and New Testament and following His rules is a result of having a relationship with Him. He says Obedience is better than sacrifice, only if you love HIM you will faithfully obey. Old testament, we have loads of examples of people who had a relationship with GOD and we’re not always following the law (David, Abraham, Moses,) God wants us to love HIM first and foremost, and your cannot love someone if you don’t know them, in the old and New Testament. We will mess up, but it’s because we have relationships with HIM we will be able to go back to HIM. True obedience is a result of loving and spending time with GOD.

I have terrible eye strain and far sighted! Could you be able to give screen shots of ur technique for bible journaling in Goodnotes so that I can try to use it to make my own in Goodnotes! Hi, guys! One of the translations that were listed when she was talking about paraphrased translations was the passion translation so in case some people don’t know this translation is extremely unreliable. The translator often adds in sentences that were never there and doesn’t faithfully translate what was originally there. He’s also “prophesied” things that never ended up happening and has made some really crazy claims like saying his wife has levitated off the ground twice and fire once shot out of his head and caught a church on fire. For people learning a language the bibble is organized into verses chapters books and the Ainu language of Japan I have the paper book a copy by Batchelore 1898 only 99.9%Ainu language now digital so it can be used as a Basic Ainu language study with indexes and I wish it could be transfored into a predictive text writer for chat

The chart is so interesting, but kind of difficult to understand. How is the ESV translation and the KJV translation both word for word when the words are seemingly different? I study a chapter or two at a time, then I take notes.
KJV is written in a very “shakespearean”/victorian (basically old school) style and vocabulary which is why it’s so different. The ESV is written in contemporary style. Keep in mind, different groups of people made the translations but most of the time it will only be a few words that differ in a verse between two word for word translations. I compare the NIV with the NKJV and NASB2020 a lot and most of the time (if there is a difference) it will be like a synonym for a word or the sin structure. You get Bibles that have the origonal text in Hebrews/Greek as well and then it shows how it was translated!

Thank you! With goodnotes you can move everything, but with this system I'll just create a second section for a book so that I'll know it's the second time I'm studying it. If I'm just updating, I'll move stuff around. I use a different system now though.

Start with The Book of John. Our pastor recommends this and I have found it to be helpful.
That's a good one too! I personally enjoy Matthew more, I've found that John is a bit more difficult than the other gospels.

Thank you! With goodnotes you can move everything, but with this system I'll just create a second section for a book so that I'll know it's the second time I'm studying it. If I'm just updating, I'll move stuff around. I use a different system now though.
