One of my all time favorite movies. The story was stunning, and the acting was impeccable. Loved every character. Made me laugh and cry many times throughout. Simply amazing.

Today was my first time watching this movie with my family on Netflix. We all enjoyed it, and I've to say.. this is one of my favorite movies now.

Beautiful movie, all the cast were wonderful. IMO Adam Sandler's best movie. I wish there was another version with an alternate ending, but either way would work. Paz Vega is stunning. She had me mesmerized from the start.

s movie changed my life, i never spent time with my family, and this movie made me realize how important it is to do it, and now I spend a lot of time with my family.

I don't know. Movie seemed bad to me. You're going to force your daughter to sacrifice a better edu because you fear she's going to forget her roots? And then the guy decides to stay with his cheating wife? That's definitely a disaster for their future. Like, I just don't get what I'm suppose to take from this movie.
This trailer makes the movie look like something completely different. Which does it a disservice on one hand, because it's an amazing movie and looks like your average b family comedy in the trailer which it absolutely isn't. On the other hand it doesn't give away anything from the story, which is good, because the surprise will be genuine and unspoiled ^^

Beautiful movie. I missed out on this gem until now but it's at the perfect time. I married a Latina last year and fully appreciate this movie with the language barriers now so much more than I ever would have if I watched many years ago. ❤️
This is my favorite Adam Sandler movie. It's funny but has a real life plot.
Because it was adapted from a published novel, and not farted out while Adam Sandler was on a withdrawal from weekend hangover.

Will never get tired watching this movie. Flor and Cristina's mother-daughter bond reminds me of my mother.

I love this movie, I have it on dvd. But oh my god this trailer sucks , the film is soooo much better . And it’s about Flor and her daughter first and foremost, and the Caucasian family second.

I just saw this trailer today and found that Show Your Love by Jars of Clay was a soundtrack for this movie. Its a nice song. I heard the song first in 2004.
Yeah I remember when this trailer came out and heard the song wondering if it was jars of Clay then finding out it was. I always liked the trailer because of it. Good times.

have no idea how this movie bombed....it's a mature content on so many levels...a hardworking mother,a daughter who wants a better Tomorrow,another daughter torn between her gud hearted father & body shaming mother,a drunk but a mother with common sense and finally a father & husband who just can't react wat just happened in his life but sane enough not to get into a relationship which in maybe would ruin everything in future....it started as a bore movie but ended up hitting me in my ❤️for how it shaped up in the end.... wonderful movie 👍

My Favorite Movie With Adam Sandler
amazing movie
The acting by the insecure mom Deborah (Téa Leoni), was just brilliant. The Spanish kid Christina also acted very well - wonder what she's up to now, and why she stopped doing movies.
I just remembered seeing this in the Spider man 2 menu

Well it's pretty real, they didn't end up together.
Why would I want to watch that movie after seeing that trailer?
It basically told me the whole plot.

The movie is not particularly great nor is the acting. The trailer is misleading.
However a few scenes presenting eternal values of who you are, without unnecessary drama in simple acts and words of everyday life, made it well worth watching for me.
For every parent and their teens.

This trailer is literally so much trash. Love how it's called Spanglish but it completely centers this neurotic caucasian woman who lost her job instead of the story about the family who immigrated and had to deal with this family's neurosis. Just... Wow.
The 'Family who immigrated' are Caucasian too... Caucasian is a racial description, not a legal status or nationality ??!!!
