Employees not wearing lab coats are unnecessarily exposing themselves to acid burns, carcinogens, mycoplasma and other microbes, and this institute is exposing itself to lawsuits, which means either there is no occupational health and safety team, or they are not doing their job to protect the institute from lawsuits.

When you are sonicating anyway, what's the purpose of using Dounce homogeniser?

eh come on. Its an R&D lab. not a GMP facility. As long as they wear gloves its okay.

Eye protection??? Would love to share this, but not with lax safety standards. Hard to see lab students wearing ear buds. And no lab coats? Poor form.

    • @vintagescorpio49

Eye protection is kinda important, literally everyone wears ear buds in the lab, and lab coats are totally unimportant.

thanks for the video, do the same procedure every day, I try to purify a antimicrobial peptide using a polyhistidine tag and CPD (peptide-CPD-H6), the purification of the protein is optimal but when I try to cut the peptide within the column, the peptide does not appear in the wash, in fact but never leaves out the CPD-H6 with wash buffer (that's right, wash buffer), could give me some suggestions or email to communicate better? thank you very much. pd. sorry for my English, I'm from Colombia :)

Use a program like adxv to find your best frames. After you have identified your best frames, use only those frames in imosflm or XDS for indexing. With weak data, you may have to adjust your settings for finding and accepting reflections during indexing. There are also some more tips in the CCP4 and XDS wiki. Good luck!

  • @TheJoshuawright12

Hi, do you have any tips for if the autoindexing doesn't work? I've tried using lots of different images but I have weak spots and neither mosflm nor XDS seem to be able to index my data. Suggestions would be appreciated

It would be very helpful for me and people in the same stage of their jump into this field to have a more illustrated tutorial like yours. Could you please share with me some quick guides... ( I know it cant be quick but I really hate to read mathematics around it...) to master the methods.

where can I find more of this tutorial. Too impressive.. the magic was I am getting more interested to know by the videos and the coming too books (which I hated before).. Hello..Madam, I am just a beginner in structural biology... I know nothing (before today). Was feeling quiet lonely but I am trying my level best to learn this field and getting more interested as God has mercy with crystals showing up.
