Stopping water getting into the basement is a difficult job if you don’t have enough room between the bricks and the cutout. The exterior drain (between the bricks and earth wall) needs to be lower than the floor and graded to code. If you get this wrong you will kick yourself and have water entering the basement. Have a chat to the bricklayers about how much room they need to do a good job. Cheers Steve

17:13 Two things. Footer and drainage. Talk with your masons. The footer is going to be much wider than the wall. Then there is drainage. I have no idea what the grade is around that structure, much less the region you guys are in. I've never met anybody that regretted proper drainage though. I bet the masons want a foot or more removed behind the wall.

That tree was probably used as a fence post when it was a young tree back in the day and some one attached that insulater to the side of the young tree and the tree just kept right on growing, my late dad often nailed fences to young trees only to dull our chainsaw when we cut it down for firewood many years later

Adam, you are a great father for encouraging Brenna to help you with the muffler replacement. Brenna's hands reach the wrench down to the bolt and makes it look easy to turn the wrench. I image Brenna is proud of doing a great job wrenching on the Case roller. Brenna looked like an experienced operator as she looked backwards and turned the steering wheel with one hand like a pro driver. Blessings to you both,

A harness is on the list of things to aquire for the lift, I generally don't go higher then 20ft, and not that accidents still can't happen, I try to be aware and realize the risk of being catapulted if you run into a hole with the machine. Thank you for watching!

Do you plan to water proof the outside of the foundation. If so you’ll need the room on the high end wall to apply, might as well go ahead and exhume it while you can without any damage later.

Hey Adam. You were just out at my place on Friday. It's rainy out today so I finally got a chance to search you out. You were hard to find. Another person with a similar channel name popped up, a whispy looking fella talking about people with bad plastic surgery from what I could tell. It is cool seeing your place on youtube. Brenna is a heck of a good helper. If you want opinions, I have a surprlus. If you want some video ideas, I got a few while watching this. Easy to film and edit and might get some views. I noticed you used a tiny 1/4" ratchet. You could make a video talking about why a heavy equipment mechanic uses a 1/4" ratchet. It is a catchy title, answers a reasonable question that most people can relate to, and may be pretty quick. You could make a youtube short showing the proper way to poor a 5 gallon bucket like you showed me. Nothing groundbreaking, but it will bring views. I spent hours watching you dig stumps and that could work, but to convey that through video would take a lot of film and editting. Another video idea is talking about why you like ryobi tools as a heavy equipment mechanic. I think that is enough of a book. Glad to see you are making videos and I hope you stick with it.
