I understand why Scott is angry with HTS and what’s happening in Syria stems from the fact that HTS was an outshoot fr extremist elements and Golani was with AlQaeda - we all know too well except we still welcome the opportunity for those extremist led by a transformed now moderate Golani in the new Syria. What Scott hated was the missed opportunity for esp Gaza and Hamas with the help of Hizbollah and Iran to once and for all fights n destroy Israel. As we know with the new Syria the land routes thru which light and heavy weaponry that was being supplied to Hizbullahand Hamas is now disrupted if not sealed completely. All the more when Golani had to appease to all the players in the region including Israel so Syria can be rebuild. Their geopolitical calculations is that the new Syria sh not have come too soon - as Scott hated the Assad n even the Jordanian regimes except the timing and circumstance is bad for Hamas n Hizbollah meaning for the Palestinians and Labenese people. I don't think the Syrian revolution was as clean as we make like to believe. There is definitely some red flags with the leadership. This doesn't mean the fighters weren't sincere and are still sincere. We can differentiate between the two. It's not all or nothing. The fighters were genuine without a doubt. But there is something shady about the leadership. Something just doesn't sit right. Jolani should have never been the guy to put in charge. He has a very shady past. They could have put someone else in charge.

The only muslim resistance against Israel has collapsed. Israel is gaining territory with the blessings of the new Syrian allies while the new gov simultaneously calling the Shia resistance their true enemy.
