Where are you located?

On a greasable bearing, what is exactly being greased? Is it only the outer ring to the center bearing? Can the grease even get into the center bearing the way it's designed? I ask because I am debating spending even more money on a non-greasable bearing because my 1967 Hydrodyne's outdrive does not have a grease fitting. However, If I can just pull the bearing out this way and repack the outer race yearly when I pull the outdrive, I can use the parts I have not.
