“Beauty in horrific things” feels fully intentional and very on brand for the message

A few things that occurred to me: I think both the victim and the witness are put into a trance when the entity reveals its true face. The witness especially can’t look away. There are theories that Morris was never real and just another manipulation by the demon but I think he did meet her in the bar but when he revealed his plan to stop the parasite, said parasite then stepped up the intensity of its attacks because right after this she’s attacked by the “dancers” at home and things get increasingly worse from there. Sky’s “mom” even says that they’d be together until it was time for her show, which turned out to be true. The entity seems to be able to temporarily assume control of the host when it needs to. The host experiences hallucinations and lost time meanwhile the demon is steering them, like a blackout. The 3rd movie is gonna be wild with how many people got infected at the end.

Fun fact the book the girl is reading at the end, The 9th circle, is about a girl meeting a creepy clown in a train station who kidnaps her taking her to hell. That Clown was Art and the “book” is actually the title of the short film Art originally appeared in. Great nod to the origin of the character. Also that most be terrifying reading this book depicting a creepy ass clown appearing and kidnapping a woman just to look up and the same damn clown described in the book is right in front of you 😅😅😅😅😅😅

I freaking loved this movie, way better than the crap horror that gets recycled today. This is not on the same level as John Carpenter's masterpiece "The Thing", but man does it hit all the right spots for a freaky horrific movie.

Killing Jonathan off screen was a weird decision, most likely production issues IMO...

Vicky talks too much, I miss the silent antagonist.

Leone was accused of being somewhat misogynistic about his kills. The shower scene for sure was designed to shut them up.

T2 is still my favorite. T3 was good but it produced more questions than answers, the" bedroom scene" is still my favorite and the soundtrack in T2 is so great.

Hope there is an extended cut of this flick, for some scenes were quite rushed trying to be not as long as T2. The sword subplot was cut/rushed a lot.

I consider Terrifier 1 as Terrier Zero, for it was kind of a proof of concept. Fooling around with the FX and the Character. Pretty much no plot. Art was also only some psico dressed as a clown. When he revived in T2 he became supernatural, starting the mythos of the franchise.

Before making this one the director got approhed by many film studios wanting to join in the sucsess but he turned them all down because he knew they wouldn't allow him to do the things he wanted to and that would hurt the movie in the long run. I am proud of this director for being able to do his own thing and not compromise his vision and still do well enough to create 3 movies. That was not Johnathan I don't beleive I think it was the head of the guy he cut up in the shower...they just needed Sienna to beleive that she lost everything so that she would be weak enough to be posessed. Yes Sienna will go to that place to get her cousin I am sure and by the way the vision she had in her dreams was a demon being forced to create the sword and then it was blessed by the angels. It was her father's way of showing her the full story I think even though he's dead now. Sienna is a warrior of heaven and because of that she is able to stand up to Art and the demon that revived Art at the end of the first movie. The beauty of this one and the second one is that the actress of Sienna is a martial artist so she did all of her stunts in this and the second one. Exept for the scene in the second one when Sienna fell through the floor to where the portal of hell was waiting, that was a stunt double because they refused to let her do it because of how dangerous it was oh well. Grate reaction and yes Art cracks me up too with the facial expressions he does.

I get the chainsaw scene in a slasher, but that rat scene is just pure torture, and not fun to watch in any way. It’s just too much. Anyone saying they enjoyed that is either straight up lying or a monster that should be put away.

Yikes!! After the first scene, I couldn’t watch it. Just the sounds alone and the thought of the poor child. Too much for me.

Yea I completely agree with them not showing the kid getting brutalized Damien Leone said There's a scene in the beginning where Art murders a child off-screen, and you just hear it. I could have shown that and the glorious way that we executed the scene. I would never do that because, to me, that's just completely off-putting, and you're going to alienate a large majority of your audience. It's like you're trying to shock the audience so much it just becomes desperate. I think it's my job as an artist to try and walk that line in a more interesting way, in a more responsible way.
