Ben Riley, with the most simple drumkit you can imagine, makes more music with this equipment than many drummers with big drumkits (floortoms, lots of cymals etc. etc.): genius.
CRIKEY! This is the coolest thing to happen to me tonight! 🙌🔥🎶😎

Gran versiion y el solo de Hank Mobley es una obra de arte !!
Гениальный джазпианист не устаю его слушать
I could listen this over and over again..
The only thing better than listening to Monk play is watching him play
Sorry, nothing beats listening.
With much respect to Dave Brubec music, Al Jarreau...Prn...AL juhrow did his rendition of Take 5. He did in a style that he knows very well.

The absolute brilliance of this man; no really, the ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE of THIS MAN.
Miss the time when musicians were performing with passion and soul. Not for the paycheck
I just saw this and I thought it was awesome. I’m a fan!!!!!
Lovely!
Legendary
Charlie Rouse is the most underrated saxophonist in history!!! To compliment monk required mass skills, which he had.
The epitome of the art form
Charlie is crazy underrated. His solo on straight, no chaser is just perfect.

What is the song at the beginning?
Nothing but genius! I'm 82 now, and have loved his music for ages.
Amen brother! Hope to hear this at the pearly gates!! Eternal music
I can’t even comprehend how fucking great these guys are.
Monk is jazz
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
😊❤❤❤
Monk's comping behind Charlie Rouse was always far more interesting than the usual piano comping.
Most in jazz get loose with time feel, it's part of the language. Then there are a few that don't f around so much, mostly just sit back in the pocket and swing the absolute shit out of it. That's Cannonball and his is groove is unmatched IMHO. I appreciate his depth of groove it more with each passing year. Cannonball, Gene Harris, Horace Silver, these are who I listen to when I want to feel that heavy swing.
Thank you for posting this. Beautiful. Never heard of this doc
Great playing by DG but NOT dance music.
Monk likes to typewriting the piano

Nostalgia is the feeling of missing the past, what's the word for missing a period of time I never even lived through? That's what this music does to me. Makes me regret not being born in the right time.
