How to Build a Manual Machine
This video details how to build a simple Manual Machine with a few lengths of wood. A Manual Machine is great for learning how to Manual, something which I cannot do at the moment. A Manual is just like a Wheelie, except you don't pedal while doing a Manual. It not only looks cool, it's great for increasing your speed and efficiency on the trail. Check back for my progression video.

    Hi, I am disabled but have a 4 wheel drive electric powerchair that I use off road. Can you tell me if I can access Robins Wood by travelling to the end of Chapel St Ticknall and then through the 5 gates. My powerchair is only 27" wide so will go through the gates that you have shown in your excellent vid, but is there any other width restriction that I will encounter please. Thank you in advance

    • @RochsWorld
      @RochsWorld 2 года назад

      Hi, thank you. Yes, but one of the gates is tricky. The rope you have to pull is high and there's a bit of a step. There's no other width restrictions that I can remember. However, it might be easier to get into Robin Wood by parking in the small layby on the A514 (between Ticknall & Stanton by Bridge). On Google Maps there is a red car parked there. Or, the top of the hill near Robin Wood Fishery. Have fun! :)

    • @RochsWorld
      @RochsWorld 2 года назад

      Thinking about it, if you park in the Layby, you have to get over the planks of wood to get into Robin Wood. A good off road route would be, park at top of the hill at the fishery. Then you can make your way over to Foremarke all off road, and even over to Bretby Castle (mainly off road).

    • @jonbaldwin2511
      @jonbaldwin2511 2 года назад

      @@RochsWorld Hi, thanks for your quick reply. I have looked on street view and at the layby on A515 there are 2 metal barriers, the 1st I could go past the side but not sure about the 2nd. What do you mean wooden planks? It would be better for me to park in the village hall car park in my wheelchair access vehicle, my wife is always with me and can open all the gates. I was just worried that after the gates we would encounter some other width restriction if we went from that way. I have looked on google and it looks like the track heads towards Robin wood and crosses a drive and passes over a couple of fields before it gets to the wood. I wasn't sure which way your vid goes because it looks like the path splits after the second gate.

    • @jonbaldwin2511
      @jonbaldwin2511 2 года назад

      @@RochsWorld Actually it is the 3rd gate if you count the open one in your vid as the 1st, and then the path splits, can I go to the right and is that the way through the other gates?

    • @RochsWorld
      @RochsWorld 2 года назад

      @@jonbaldwin2511 Ref. Wooden Planks - I think they're to let horse riders gain access without opening the gate. There is a plank (horizontal) then a space then another plank. A walker would just step over them, but I have to get off my bike to get over them. After gate 5 is the narrowest bit, if you can get through there, you'll get through anywhere in Robin Wood. After every gate (of the first 5) you go straight.

    1st time viewer. I just got Komoot. Was thinking of Strava. So I am wondering, if a person is traveling, runs into some other bicyclists, and hears of an interesting route, you can map your newfound route with Komoot. That much seems clear. Question- when you return to your hotel that evening to map the new route, it appears that you had better have brought your computer. Am I right?
