The Secret to Transforming Your Property Overnight! 🌳🌲🌳
So much fun 🥰🥰 full of knowledge 🤗
Oh my gosh Kate! The pair of teardrop trellis is so cool! You will find what you’re looking for, I know it! Say hello to your garden!
Fyi. I had a hard time hearing you with music being louder than your voice around 16 minutes. I would have bought that basket for $18!
I had a "The Fonz" t shirt 🤣 I thought I was all that 😉 Thanks for sharing 🤩
Is he going to have dwarf yellow plum trees that are 7ft or so tall at Tacoma dome tomorrow??
So happy you got the pair of teardrops!
Thank God you bought them both!! I was screaming at my screen ..buy the TWO OF THEM!!! ❤ hahaha!!!
OhEmGEEEEE I loved Fashion Plates...but Kate, you are too young for Fashion Plates....that was "vintage" when you were young!
I love those teardrops!!! I would want 3....already I'm figuring out how to make them!!! I love copper, so maybe I'll make some out of copper!!!! hehehehhee
Vicariously antique shopping…totally fun! Zone3 Manitoba 🇨🇦❄️👏
(I must not have hit enter when I made my comment. Here goes again, lol.) You might want to contact the owner of The Garden's Gate in Covington WA. They also have a booth at Auburn Antique Mall in Auburn WA. Both places have a FB page. The Garden's Gate may have a bench for your NWGS display garden. Loved this shopping trip!
Oh, how I love antiquing with you, Kate!! 🌸I have those beautiful, wooden, folding chairs. They were an 'apartment warming' gift from my dear aunt about 45 years ago!! So easy to store until needed! We still enjoy them in our home today. 💕 Dawn (IL)
I had Fashion Plates AND Flip and Fold Fashions. Did you have that one? So much fun.
Hi Kate👋🏻 your channel is may best found treasure on You Tube in 2025 (thanks to Claudia). And it's free😊.With love from Serbia🇷🇸♥️♥️♥️
Hi Kate, the metal structures you purchased are drop dead gorgeous! Can’t wait to see what container and plants that you put into them.
I'm my backyard again and didn't call me😅
Would this be drama on drama? 🧐🤣
When antique shopping I say "I have that, I have that, I need one of those, had those growing up." My husband's great grandmother had the corn dishes that were at the first store. His grandmother gave me a pitcher so I have been collecting them for 50 years.
I always enjoy an antique hunt. Thanks for taking us along.
That tear drop is fabulous!!!
👋😉😅🥰
I wish I could have been with you. We have an affinity for the same items - garden ware, Blue Willow, etched glass - oh my! Looking forward to your videos when you are at the garden show!
Hi Kate , I was screaming, buy brought of them , the shapes are so cool & price was great. Love today’s video
did you bargain any? I think the smaller one should be $35 because it was half the size of the large one.
I asked if they had a third size because that would be been crazy good! And the big was a bargain. I’d pay way more in Seattle.
Sold! You gotta get those topiaries! Yes!! So glad you found those!
Right?! I was so dang excited!!!
I need to ask someone I purchased from before if she can also create that teardrop topiary! It’s such a beautiful shape ! 🥰🌸🇨🇦
It’s so good! And I love when I can find something that is a bit more interesting for the garden. Can’t believe you have a friend who can make this!
Too much FUN….Wish I was there 🎈. 🌿🌱
Honestly, I have half a mind to start a travel business where we just antique and look at gorgeous gardens! 🛍️
❤ fun
Sunshine, gorgeous drive, antiques and surprise visits with friends? The best!!!
I'm so glad you finally showed us your greenhouse! So much fun! Awesome video! I'm right there with you, things have gotten way out of control here! lol
Hi Kate 👋 Love the rusted teardrop Topiaries 😍 glad you got both of them. Ya know you really need to take Claudia to that last place you went... She would love LOVE that place. Thank you for taking us shopping with you. And how cool you ran into Ann. 😁
You’re right! She would be in heaven. 🌸 And Anne… I just love her so much. I can’t wait for my big party reunion at the NW Flower and Garden Festival!
Those metal topiaries are Everything! I was thinking about Those three chair pushed together to make a "bench". Thry are so pretty!
Oh you are a GENIUS! I didn’t even think of that! The lines on those chairs were SO good.
Dahlias definitely don't like overhead water, but,if you have a dry climate and high temperatures, then maybe they are OK. In UK I would never water from above. Drip system is much better in my view, and you don't waste water either.
Wasn’t that so funny to see?!? I’d never dream of doing it in Seattle.
Hello Kate! I love your enthusiasm when shopping, my kind of girl! And, yes for Fashion Plates!!! ❤
Ha ha ha! I get easily excited. And yes… those Fashion Plates. 😍
Did someone say shopping? The topiaries are fab! Such an unexpected shape. And yes, the soup tureen was sensational! Cheers from North Carolina
I LOVE to browse around and see what’s out there! If only for inspiration, there’s such good stuff!
@HelloGarden Oh and the blue & white dinnerware was fab, too. I'm like you loving the porcelain, but I already have five (!) sets of china. Would I like to buy additional patterns? Yes. Yes, I would. But storage is becoming an issue, lol.
This channel could turn into a dinnerware channel so fast our heads would spin! As the only granddaughter, the China sets are plentiful… and even then… 😆
@HelloGarden lucky girl! I have four sisters so I will have to fight for my Grammie's Minton "Ardmore". Maybe I'll pull rank since I'm the eldest. I can be b*tchy that way, lol.
For Minton? Absolutely. 😆
Yes I had the fashion plates too. So much fun. Great basket.
I’m not usually triggered with toy nostalgia, but those got me. 💕
Is there a follow-up video to show how all these plants matured?
I’m pretty sure they’re in subsequent garden tour videos!
LOVE hellebores! Thanks Kate!
Christianson's is my local nursery and definitely my happy place, even in the depths of winter. Thank you for featuring this Skagit Valley treasure!
Skagit Valley in and of itself is a treasure! I’m so happy to feature your part of this world. I actually had a hilarious day and ran into Anne of Dahlia House when walking through downtown Mt Vernon. 💕
❤🤩🌸
❤
That’s my favorite nursery
You have fabulous taste! 😍
Christianson’s is my favorite nursery-yes, they have an amazing plant selection, but their staff is what makes them truly special. Clearly, John Christianson sets the tone. ❤
Well said! A nursery is plants. Sure. But it’s more importantly PEOPLE. And John’s knowledge and kindness is second to none.
took a minute to click play - was giggling too much about the title! HAHAHAHA
Ha ha ha ha! Brian and I were laughing so hard. It’s a personal mission to bring the goofy joy back to gardening.
@@HelloGarden I simply adore it!!! YAY!
Such a fantastic and informative video! Thank you for sharing!!
You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it… secretly I was in heaven too!
Thank you both for this informative and fun interview! Here in southern Wisconsin, our barefoot season begins in early April. When we built our country home, we took many April trips to Jung Garden Center in Randolph, Wisconsin, to purchase maples, lindens, and fruit trees. They are doing great!
This makes me so happy to hear. John was telling me that a lot of nurseries have cut way back on their bare root stock over the years so I get so excited when I hear that our favorite nurseries continue on!
This was such an informative interview. Thank you for taking us along. I saw that Christianson’s had fruit trees from Dave Wilson Nursery (CA). A couple years ago I got hooked on the pruning process promoted by Dave Wilson that keeps fruit trees 3 - 4 feet tall which is great for the urban garden. “Grow a Little Fruit Tree” by Ann Ralph. I highly recommend.
Yes! I’ve never had the privilege of trying out this technique, but heard it’s awesome! What type of trees have you used it on?
@@HelloGarden I volunteer as a Master Gardener at the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle and wanted a plum tree for their small veg/fruit garden. I used the pruning technique on a first year European plum in their garden and am amazed at how well the tree responded. It’s in its second year and has a nice shape and, with a regular pruning schedule, will remain a small and productive fruit tree. I’ll be trying the technique on an Olympian fig in my yard this spring. The first pruning cut is the hardest (i.e. 18” - 24” or knee high from the ground). Lots of videos out there on the technique but the book explains it best.
What a great interview! Makes me miss the pnw so much.
I love my PNW peeps. I bet the PNW misses you too!
Gurl!!! You continue to hit it out of the park! This was so very interesting. Totally enjoyed it.
Thank you so much. This video was so fun to film!
Such a treat to hear you and John talk about bare root trees and shrubs. I can't wait to see his booth. So excited about the garden you're planning for the show. I'll be there on Friday of the show. 😊
Oh yay! I’m doing container wars on Friday. Come say ”hi”!
@HelloGarden will do!
Great tutorial. All 5 are great. I like the idea of a small shrub. I am always drawn to texture. The log planter is very cool, too.
