Nothing wrong with Tom's driving, he's never driven that track before and it was his first track day. He wasn't being a hero just enjoying the experience.

Erm…. Steering the car? I guess it felt the most stable/comfortable way of steering the car. It was my first time on a track, and I’m not a racing driver and don’t claim to be, so…..?

@@clanjarheadstt05 as a driver that has driven many tracks, I do not get paid to race, however drive always with your hands at the quarter to three position, unless changing gear. You’ll be better for it. None of this feeding the wheel, if you want to be good at track driving.

I’m glad to be able to stretch its legs, although I had to take it easy round the front end of the track as I had been black flagged for noise, and I didn’t want to kill it on my first time out, hopefully the videos should get more exciting the more experience I get lol

Correct, and yeah, the suspension will be getting an upgrade at some point in the future. It’s a little hard atm

I have been to Scunthorpe in it, but I’m from hull, there is a white 20let nova around Scunthorpe I think which is probably the one you have seen

@@clanjarheadstt05 I don't mind turbos. I turbo converted my 350Z but, like your Nova, the chassis was perfect for the application! I love the C20XE. I always say it was GM's SR20DE. I really really want a light, old school, all motor car. Your Nova seems right up my street.

Its on bilstein shocks and spax springs but they are old and tired now, due an upgrade… Also yes the steering is all standard, also due a quick rack in the near future as its horrible at the moment 😂

@@clanjarheadstt05 I’ve got the corsa b electric rack on mine with standard nova column, lot nicer in the turns than the standard nova rack

@@Ash1983. its still a harsh ride, i think the camera is taking a lot of the vibration and bounce out of it so it just looks much better lol. I could go dowb the epas route but i think ill just put a hockley quick rack on it. Steering response it awful at the moment lol

I've not been down them roads since my grandparents sold their boat which was moored on the river outside Brandesburton, used to travel it regularly, can catch people out if they arnt local though

@@brynlar3230 yeah around 150hp stock, its had a bit of work done to it and its on throttle bodies. If you want to spend the money you can take them to 300+ without a turbo

Im not on coilovers, im on springs and dampers, and they are around 12-15 years old so probably pretty tired, it doesnt handle that well at the moment, but i plan to put a quick rack, coilovers and full cage in along with other bits and bobs so hopefully should get it ready for the track soon😁

@@clanjarheadstt05 Back in the day when I did mine (1998) I fitted a full strengthening kit to the engine bay and seam welded all the joints in the engine bay and chassis legs as well to keep it all tight at the front, well worth the effort. Mine was dyno'd at 197 bhp so not as quick as yours but I did not have throttle bodies just cams, flowed head, remap, different throttle inlet, and full bespoke exhaust system. Great fun and it could outpace a lot. Ran a 13.7 qtr at Santa Pod with it as well which was fast back in the day.

I couldnt tell you the exact code, as i have forgotten, but i know they are an older SBD profile, the power doesnt really come in till around 4K but then it sings all the way to 8😃

nah mate, the brake and throttle are in the wrong place, just slipping off the brake and back on in between blips, not driving fast enough to need heel toe lol.

yes this was at track and road, they did a good job, unfortunately the engine didnt, so it ended up going to exon race engines who rebuilt it and mapped it again.

Its built into the clock that mate. Just set it wherever you want. Iv also go wiring from the ecu so i can have one on the dash too but i haven’t got around to that. Those st’s are little go karts aren’t they. I cant drive this in anger properly because it just wants to kill you.
