@ Thinks so, saw on a parts diagram that init required 6 locate pins, I removed from 3 from old unit and pressed them in new carrier

Yes the battery needs to be hooked up for this to run. The computer gets its power from the battery not the stator. If you are getting 14.5 volts running then your stator is fine. However if your having trouble keeping the battery charged on the machine then I will have the battery tested if that passes then I would move on to the voltage regulator. They come with grease already however I like to make sure and repack them to make sure. Axle not bent and the bearing has to be press out of the axle tube. Thanks for watching.

@crankitt825 yes I did also I do mechanic work on vehicles daily but this stuns me. I bought 2 more mechanical seals to try couple more times if I fail again ill use your method. Mines a 2015 polaris sportsman etx 325cc.

How'd you end up fixing it? I did the same thing, pretty sure I put the outer seal in backwards after I double checked online before install to put rubber out. I guess it got swapped around before I got it to the shaft somehow. I also messed up and had the seal come apart on install because my pipe I used to drive it was a few thousandths too tight. Just picked up 2 seals today to try again lol

@jacobrice9311 I think there's a porcelain part in the gasket I ruined 3xs with cheaper aftermarket gaskets. I recently purchased oem polaris mechanical gasket and letting a professional try cause it was expensive lol. I'll know in a couple wks if it works

Hi, setting the idle air jet from 2-2 1/2 should be ok. I always set my idle to where it will keep the motor running but not pulling on the four wheeler while in gear. Only when I accelerate it. Next I would check my compression. The carb only works correctly if the compression of the motor is in range. If the compression checks out ok. Then perhaps I would check for other issues like bad fuel, check intake boot, making sure the accelerator not being pinch. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

@ yeah got it running smooth now. Spent the day workin on it, now I’m chasing a neutral light it was on. Now it’s off so I gotta pull the brake. But still what would cause just the neutral light to come on go off randomly?

​sounds like a loose connection. Check your safety neutral switch.
