This footage is unbelievable 👌
the guitar work in shadowplay is magnifique...he plays it slightly differently in other versions but this best version
конец уничтожен...
John Squire and Ian Brown both attended this gig.
Joy Division is nothing to sneeze at
ian curtis is not a solo act, they are a group.
Legendary band! Amazing perfomance Ian dancing was incredible, absolutely class
Any idea if the whole gig got filmed?
I was 6 at the time and the gig was local. What was my excuse for not attending? 🤔
you missed out mate
Pour ceux qui ne l'ont pas vue, le film Joy Division est à voir ;)

OMG I could watch him for hours
Amazing!! D.e.p. 🖤 Ian Curtis

Funny how Ian dances around like Frankenstein while the band looks stoic. He’s also a terrible singer, but for some reason it just works. Style and originality can trump ability. There are some great technical singers out there that are a bore to listen to, just as there are technically terrible singers who I love to listen to. I’m a sucker for the older cure stuff and chuck mosely faith no more era. Let’s not forget how raspy Tom waits is or Dylan. Love joy division.
Ian Curtis eterno 🖤
Just think in an alternate universe Joy Division lives on and bigger than U2.
I would give a lot to see the full, finished film by Malcolm Whitehead.
TOP, 🇮🇹❤️👍
Best wishes from Azerbaijan ;)
4:30min wow just wow
Went too soon,Ian Curtis, class
Always prefered the live version of shes lost control, unknown pleasures is a good album but the sound of it ruins the songs, over produced
🤘✌️🌞👁️🖤🖤🖤🖤👁️👁️👁️👁️🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
_I know a lot of people won't believe but I was there, it was not in Altrincham but in Bowden which is about a mile away, (next to Hale) funny thing was I wasn't a fan but went 'cos my girlfriend was. Not a bad gig, and afterwards she got her Tshirt signed by Ian & hooky._
This class amazing it was a pub in Altrincham only about 1hr away for me wish I witnessed this gig! They're always gonna be number one for me and she's lost control got me listening to them ! A truly great band
I went to school in Bowden in the 80s mad int it?
I was at Welly Girls in 1979 but lived in Timperley and wouldn't have been at Bowdon Vale youth club but this is fasinating to find.
Joy division are on a class of their own we are blessed to have had such a unique and special artist as Ian such a talent and special person just so tragic he is not with us R.I.P Ian you will always be remembered for the legend you are
like adrian borland of the sound
First gig Ian Brown attended, apparently.
Wow never saw Leaders of Men from this show, very cool!
wow amazing
The late seventies.
Point to me where raw genuine human music is like this today? Not a copycat band or over produced to the point where it looses the human element. JD was notorious for not for not being able to play their instruments well, but i think their stuff is brilliant. No cellphones, no youtube(lol I'm a hypocrite), no apps and gadgets. Just raw feeling with no extra fat.
Love the rawness of this band
She's Lost Control es mi favorita canción de Joy División............. saludos de Perú...
Hopefully, when I'm unfettered from a body in time & space, I can ghost around Joy Division. Knew when I dropped a phonograph needle on the 12" of An Ideal For Living that THIS is why God gave me a radio show (MMom/WRUW. September, 1978)
Amazing!!! Thank you so much!
Iam curtís performances única som deprê 💯💯💥💥
9:15 wtf happend
🖤🖤🖤
This ending was like the abruptly stop of a rolecoster ride
couldn't have said it better

I'm late to the party wow cool as fuck bro Any Warsaw ?
thanks, thanks, thanks...a masterpiece...
You know, I discovered Unknown Pleasures when I was 13-14 (currently 33) by total happenstance, and its been one of my favorite records my whole life. But in reality Ian was gone 7 years before I was born, and 20-21 years before I discovered his music, yet I still to this tear up watching these old live shows, feeling like I was there, wish i was.
Same i discovered this band and album when i was 13 and now im 14 lol
