I grew up around this car... we used to call it a gangster car and thought the windows had bullet holes in them and they had (still do?) some sort of circular effect on the rear passenger windows. The "guy who towed the car" and again loaded it on the trailer for movement was my dad. My impression of Connie was that she was a farm girl, and judging by the black vest, still was till the day she passed. Great idea to add period music during the car move. It's good to see the car again! Thanks much and please share future journeys?

I saw Mr Cables playing in Port Townsend in '92. It was a place called The Back Alley Cafe. I am an Aussie and had gone to the USA to attend a Bud Shank summer jazz camp at Port Townsend. The camp coincided with the Port Townsend Jazz Festival. It seemed that everyone who was anyone was in that little town for those couple of weeks. Mr Cables was playing with his left hand in plaster. He had had an accident of some sort. The piano was 2nd rate: an old upright that had seen many better years. But that gig was the highlight of my trip to the States. Broken hand, crappy piano, Cables set the place alight. He was burnin'. Thank you for the wonderful music, Mr Cables. You made my trip to the USA, worthwhile.

I think that Madeline Eastman has talent but why isn't she standing instead of sitting and impeding her breath control? Obviously, she's had little formal vocal training. She's not sitting at a piano accompanying herself after all, is she? Nice song but I don't think that this rendition is exceptional in any way.
