    Do you guys wish that Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane were on Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

      It sounds to me like they were meant to be on there so I would say yes. The question is where would you fit them into that legendary track listing?

    Great memories for me. This album is/was the music of my life, and still takes me there to that very time. Thank you fellows.

    I understand the comments from the boys and why they felt it important to make them, but Lucy not inspired by acid trips? Pull the other one, its got a whistle on it.

    These videos you are making are really special. They capture the brilliance of the Beatles admirably well.

    8:28 Paul doesn’t remember as "clearly" as he thinks he does. Julian's drawing didn’t have 'Lucy in the Sky with diamonds written across the top in naive children's handwriting." John ask Julian what the painting was, and he said, "It's Lucy in the sky with diamonds". Since the title wasn't written across the top, John didn't show him the painting and say, "What do you think about that for a title?" That means Paul's memories are either completely wrong about the writing sessions of this song, or he's making it up.

    Great! nice work getting all that together. I always imagined that the buzz and the mood of the time after Pepper was released and the whole "flower power" feeling must have peaked when they released 'All you need is Love' live on TV and then followed with personal favourite EP/LP Magical Mystery Tour! Amazing Era, we have so much to thank them for

      @@michaelharrington75 Here's a little list of some things not on the Anthology featured in this video. The Brian Wilson interview at the start. The Dick Clark segment. The interviews with George and Paul starting at 16:44. The interview with Peter Blake at 15:31. The interview with the harpist from "She's leaving home" at 9:33 The footage of George pointing at the album cover at 17:18. The footage of Ringo putting on his Sgt. Pepper uniform at 17:27. The interview with Brian Epstein starting at 1:58 and throughout. Several of the comments made about the songs are not from Anthology. So I am afraid your claim which you are so certain of, is incorrect.

    The Philippines made them decide to stop touring. At least John and George hated traveling and playing and not being to hear themselves.

    The Beatles were idealists, not realists. Were they realists, Paul would have sang: *"And in the end, the hate you make is equal to the hate you take."* Certainly would have been more profoundly accurate to the majority of humanity.

    • @MagicalWhitePepperRoad
      @MagicalWhitePepperRoad 15 дней назад

      Paul certainly was an idealist but John was more of a realist. More so after he left the Beatles. Cold Turkey, Instant Karma, the whole Plastic Ono album is about painful truth. One of his lines from "Nobody loves you when you're down and out" is "I scratch your back and you knife mine" or "everybody loves you when you're six foot in the ground." The combination of Paul's head in the clouds with John's more edgy and dark side is what made them so great as a songwriting team.

    • @ANDROLOMA
      @ANDROLOMA 13 дней назад

      @@MagicalWhitePepperRoad Agreed. Optimism tempered by realism. I always felt John's lyrics more substantial than Paul's granny music, but I did so enjoy both.

    At the time the Beatles were working on ABBEY ROAD, John Lennon looked more like a hippie than a Beatle, although he never struck me as being conventionally handsome even in the group's "suit-and-tie" days.
