Hi Kirsti! I had something to comment but then I couldn't get my computer to let me sign into my RUclips account to comment and much stressfully later I have no idea what that was! LOL I just saw that Sirdar blanket a few days ago and was seriously thinking about making it as I have plenty of stash to use up, but I gotta do some more looking because I can't figure out how to get the pattern without ordering a kit. I like the bobbin idea to avoid having to drag your red yarn under the white. I too am put off by it showing through when doing mosaic crochet of some type. You might try to crochet tighter and see if that helps, but if it does, you'd need to go back to the beginning to stitch it in your tighter tension. I dunno. Keep me posted.

So I’ve gone back and actually read the first few pages of the spoke flower blanket and it clearly states on the front page there are 3!! Different styles. Not 2 as I stated. So disregard what I said about how the pattern is written x

A GREAT AND LOVELY SPLURGE ENJOY USING YOUR HAUL

We walked down to our Aldi today in the drizzle lol had to drop a parcel off for Vinted. Loving the red yarn you got, I'm always on the lookout for a nice red haha. The carousel blanket uses the Bo Peep DK yarn, not sure if you had started that or not. Also I got one of Leo the lion too recently 😂 love the Knitty critter kits. I know it has everything in it to make up but can't remember if it has a darning needle (probably a plastic one if it does). RRP is 8.99 i think. Loving the Paddington's, the knit one might be to make an outfit for a normal shop bought bear so he looks like Paddington. I love the fact that Vicki names all her minis 😍 those yarn cakes are so much fun! Glad to hear you had a good time at the show.

That's some great progress Kirsty! I would do the plainer sections at the bottom so you have interesting bits at the top to keep you motivated. Also if you pass the needle through the back of other stitches it will hide the tails so they aren't trailing behind. If you bring it on Thursday then I'll show you x

You’re hoping for cooler weather and I don’t want winter to end here in Oz, I hate the summer and usually hibernate from December to March. I’ve been struggling a bit too in a different way, I recently had a fall and fractured my arm, which is driving me crazy! I have a resting mosaic crochet project by Get Yer Hook On. I'm.doing the scandi birds pattern and I was surprised at how easy it was.. then I put it down for a few months and I just cannot pick the technique up again 😂

It turned out lovely, for the past 4 years I've been saying, "This is the year I'm going to learn brioche" I still want to learn but it seems so darn complicated
