Thanks for Erceg, from a KC fan!
For what it's worth I believe West Sacramento Athletics merchandise would sell like hotcakes because of the small town vibes and being a totally unique brand same with Green Bay Packers
I can’t believe what I heard the West Sacramento mayor actually thinks the A’s should drop the Vegas deal, that they are already heavily involved in, for Sacramento. Newsflash Las Vegas has a population of 2.9 million living here, not to mention all the numerous tourists that visit Sin City regularly, meanwhile Sacramento has a population under 500,000 according to Ricky ( I didn’t even look up) Sac’s population, but I’m sorry but that’s incredibly stupid for anyone to suggest.
NEWSFLASH # 2 Sacramento #20 Media Market Las Vegas # 40 Media Market Sacramento # 28 SMSA 2,420,608 SMSA= (Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area) Las Vegas # 29 SMSA 2,336,573 Population within city limits Las Vegas 660, 929 Sacramento 526,384 Oakland 436,504 Sacramento is surrounded by many fast growing suburbs, (many of the newcomers are from the Bay Area) and is adjacent to other populous regions. Once out of Vegas it's desert, jackrabbits and lizards! Not saying the A's will stay but Sacramento is a better potential market than either Vegas or Salt Lake which is way smaller than either Sacramento or Vegas.
Let's get some minor league hockey at Oakland arena and we can get a rivalry going with evil san Diego gulls
We gotta stop bullshittin with these peewee league teams in the town and get minor league hockey at Oakland arena. Like they got in San Diego with San Diego gulls. Nobody in the world knows about Roots or Soul soccer or B baseball. Wake up
Ok, how about you get minor league hockey to the Town! Well, you know about Roots and Soul soccer!
LONG LIVE THE WORLD CHAMPION SAN JOSE CLASH
Sutter Health Park is less than a quarter of a mile from the Sacramento City Limits. Are the River Cats called the WEST Sacramento River Cats? The 49ers play 3 counties away from San Francisco, The NY Jets and Giants play in another state, no big deal. Most people here don't care if Sacramento is included in their branding, at this point we realize that we are a intended as a transitional location. The A's have copyrighted Sacramento A's and Athletics in case the situation changes. Local businesses have already started selling apparel with associating Sacramento with the A's.
Sac Republic are actually "Rooted in Sacramento" lol. Athletics are not
The A's are rooted in Philadelphia!
RickeyBlog!!!
Thanks for updates alex
I rather have the ballers build at Howard Terminal as well. Oakland is a baseball town.
Your Oakland A’s had a dynasty in the 1970’s, meanwhile y’all were in the bottom 3 in attendance every year. Furthermore Oakland has always been in the bottom five in attendance every year there, except for the time period of the Bash Brothers and Rickey Henderson. Somehow you think Oakland is a baseball town, I’ll pretend as if I never saw your comment.
@@seanmiles6991nice douchery in writing right there
@@lucaspadilla4815 you call it douchery, well I I’ll respond with two words history and Google. Why don’t you actually Google this stuff, so you can learn your Oakland history? It’s all right there on Google genius, truthfully Oakland has always been piss poor in attendance, excluding 1988 to 1994, every other that’s absolutely correct. Next time Google first, before you come at like a fool, your Oakland history is in black and white dude.
@@seanmiles6991I would say Oakland is a football town then could be parlay to get another baseball team
With Sheng Thao out, let’s find a new Mayor that will fix and help the Town bounce back!
Can’t wait for the Roots! Roots Bloody Roots!
If I were a team owner I would definitely move my team to Oakland where the fans can decide if I am worthy of keeping my team or management.
LOYAL TO THE SOIL. OAKLAND ONLY...........A's Now Are In West SCAB"CRAP''MENTAL
stÀy
No longer a fan of the A’s as long as Fisher proceeds with the move. But I’m all there for bad news to hate on A’s ownership 🤣
I agree!
Hell yeah I agree also
And you don’t blame the giants from you guys from going to San Jose
SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL.

As someone who only goes to Vegas for business conventions (mainly at the MGM Grand which is directly across from each other on Tropicana), that area will be an absolute traffic nightmare. IDC what anyone says. And I guess they aren't aware that locals for the most part stay away from the strip unless they work there, so to project that 80% of foot traffic will be from locals is hilarious. They only have concepts of a plan...
Bally's has resources from the acquisition by hedge fund Standard General. During Wednesday’s third-quarter earnings call, Robeson Reeves, the company’s chief executive officer, said that the goal is to open at least a portion of a Bally’s casino by the time the Athletics baseball team begins playing in Las Vegas. “Significant planning efforts are underway, which will put Bally’s in a position to begin our own development efforts concurrently with the A’s stadium construction efforts,” Reeves said. “Given our planning and preparation, our current pursuit is to have initial portions of the casino, hotel and retail offerings ready to go once the A’s begin playing in their new stadium in 2028.” Reeves’ statement to investors Wednesday reiterates what Bally’s Corp. Chairman Soo Kim told the Review-Journal last month after initial renderings of the proposed project were released. Kim said the plan, as of now, is to build out in phases, with the first phase including a gaming component.
While Sacramento isn't quite the city of CHAMPIONS what I think is Sacramento baseball is a winner for MLB and sac city Hall and most importantly the people and baseball fans and children of all ages in NORCAL
I wanna point out yet again that MLB simply needed to place THA Oakland Athletics in the National League West and they become wildly successful franchise OVERNIGHT
Thanks again for y'alls excellent reporting
The Sphere cost $2B to build, and this thing is *much* bigger and more complex. There is no way this design can be built as shown in anywhere close to a budget the Fishers can afford.
The Tropicana Site may be the worst location for a ballpark - The addition of a ballpark could be a huge boost to a city and a district - this process surrounding the A's just feels like a train wreck.
I want you folks to keep in mind the Howard Terminal site in Oakland was going to be a $12 BILLION development but there having issues coming up with only a billion for Vegas. John Fischer is an absolute JACKASS!!
I wrote about this last year. Something doesn't add up. www.rickeyblog.com/what-is-the-end-game-for-as-owner-john-fisher-las-vegas-stadium/
Hey, thanks, Alex! I usually trust what I see rather than what I hear. At the moment, those individuals are all talk and no action. I anticipate this will continue for at least another year or so.
I think we're in wait-and-see mode on financing til next Spring as well
@@RickeyBlog You're probably right. It sure seems like it too.
thank you Alex!
thanks for watching!
Scott is amazing!!!
There can be a new resort without a ballpark.
I think the ballpark is more likely to happen than the hotel at this point. We'll see Bally's books this week, but sounds like they are tapped out
some seem to think they won't go to vegas at all and build in sacramento.
Just curious....are you based out of the Bay Area?
I'm spending the next few months in Mexico, but yeah that's where I grew up and lived/worked for most of my life
I miss him
Professional, ie Corporate sports are never loyal to their fans. Another city has two nickels more, they will leave. Ask us Sonics fans.
After that presentation it's clear the A's are about to throw away $1.5 billion on a big mistake moving to the smallest market in MLB, Fisher is still trying to get the money together for his share of the construction costs, and betting on sell outs for every game for 30 years will drive them into bankruptcy in the first two years. Bottom line they should have listened to the Mayor of Las Vegas and should have stayed in Oakland.
You sound like an idiot just as much as she.
You sound like an idiot as she was. A’s will be just fine in Vegas.
26:17 you got some creepy looking bug in the background there. 😂
Hahaha good eye. Pinche cucarachas
Vital Vegas is a joke. Why would Steve Hill (STADIUM Authority) know anything about or care about a hotel?
You’re a huge VV fan! He said he didn’t see the stadium plan either. Seems like it falls within his purview. I just think it’s odd he didn’t even look out of curiosity
@@RickeyBlogSteve had a lot going on and I doubt he cares what the casino looks like. My issue is Scott is he appears to give false hope and wild predictions for attention… that doesn’t help anyone. Remember Scott told us he heard from his insiders, no bank will lend to the Fishers, that they wouldn’t hire an architect, that they couldn’t get people to work with them… how long do you continue to take him seriously?
The latest stadium renderings make the building look like a bloated, roadkill armadillo
Had the same renderings and a power point presentation for Howard Terminal. This doesn’t mean shit. fishstix will have to spend over $1 billion of his money to make this happen or this is all bullshit.
Wow, this is awful! As soon as you uttered “sellouts for thirty years,” I literally LOL’d!!!! Vegas is Dodgers country, not A’s. And I highly doubt that too many tourists will be itching to attend an A’s game in Las Vegas.
Fabulous update and summary Alex! Thank you!!
Thanks Dawn! Hope you had a great time at Coliseum!
@@RickeyBlogWe did!!
Las Vegas Athletics??? Are you serious??? Let the taxpayers decide!!!
There is no impact on the taxpayers so there is nothing to decide or vote on.
They’re just over in Vegas doing their jobs and wasting everyone’s hard paid tax money, good on dem’ clowns!
Dem some ridiculous renderings
Bally’s is broke
With this ballpark it’s pretty much ‘F’ the Blue Collar Fan, and Hello High Rollers….
