The fact remains, what Ponting and co. did was not just unethical but a huge disgrace for the game and their own nation. The Aussie way is constant verbal and often physical abuse all through grade cricket. The ultimate aim is they want their opponent to completely lose it and react in an even worse way. Then they claim total innocence. Just look at David Warner and Quinton De Kock for the ultimate example. Unfortunately the worst sledgers often belong to the winning team and winning is what matters at any cost. No subject is off limit and i have heard personal abuse about family deaths, cancer, appearance, questioning of parentage etc etc
