You can wear any watch you like! Marinemaster wears like an skx.
Got one and never wear it…it was a grail but it’s just too much of a chunk. Much thicker than the 6159 and with a 19 mm lug width it just looks odd, the bezel height is so out of proportion to the rest of the watch too. The finish and colourway though are stunning.

@ Yeah I definitely seem to be in the minority…and I sooo want to like it! as it fits in with my Seiko diver evolution collection of the SJE093 (62Mas re-issue) SLA025, SBC317 (6105-8000 re imagining) and 6105-8110 original Willard.

Looks like the MM300 is winning 🥇 this one and not a surprise to me either. The lume markers on the 023 are bigger and the lume pip triangle on the MM300 is obviously bigger and brighter as well . Great comparison but not surprised to see your 023 outshine in this lume war 👍🏻😎
@@1968jpy You are not wrong Joey. I will give the 025 a pass considering it is 7 years old compared to 2 years old on my 300. But nothing has beaten the 300 on Lume except for the SBBN045. That one had him licked!

I had this piece in my hand one week ago, it is a heavy watch but on the wrist it doesnt look big at all because of the dial. I think this one is the most beautiful of all marinemasters.

Finally some action bro! This is a serious Seiko dive watch. Such a beast. Surprisingly the MM300 lume is stronger than the SLA025.
@@Seikoholic1973 I was surprised at that. Maybe because my MM300 is 5 years younger than the 025? I will conduct another lume test later under time lapse and post the results!

@@adamski101 It is smaller. mm300 dial is 29mm 025 is 31mm
@gethinchristian But overall the case sizes are the same? The bigger dial gives the appearance that the watch is larger (*I know it's taller but the larger dial makes the watch look wider too. Bigger overall)
@adamski101 The 025 case is ever so slightly larger. And the dial also larger. The lug to lug length is longer too. It is a bigger watch in everything but the lug width.

I am still waiting on the goddamn 8L35 version...I have had terrible luck with the 6R35.
I have reviewed the 8l35 uemura on the channel and It was very accurate.
I wanted a Willard watch after reading about this watch on uTube. I looked around and got a Tandorio for around $90 Willard style. I got the cheaper movement not the PT5000. I. Am very pleased with my watch! I ignore looking at the second hand when checking for accuracy. I just look at the minute hand to see if the watch is keeping the correct time

You have a knack of reviewing great watches. I was about to buy this Orient and noticed your Doxa. The Doxa looks a lot bigger? Is that just the angle?
@@bradd5961 The Orient saturation diver is bigger than the 1500t. The thickness and width are almost identical but the osd has a ridiculous lug to lug length of over 54mm making it more or less unwearable to anyone with a wrist under 19cm minimum. The Doxa is around 47mm. This makes a massive difference to wearability and comfort.

@@bushmaster9576 14.7 is thick but thinner than an mm300. It is a 1000 meter diver so not too bad considering. The Sinn U50 is more accommodating at 11.5 mm thick.

Just had to watch this again (after having, or so I thought, gotten a great deal on the SLA049.....my 8L35 movement runs at least 25 seconds fast a day).....because you are the best Seiko reviewer out there. I had to laugh again at two things; the fact that Uemura is a "JDM" explorer and that your 8L35 movements run within only 4 to 5 seconds fast per day! God bless. I got mine grey market NOS with box, papers, warranty, blue sticker, tags, etc. paid 1800 quid, BTW! Cheers Gethin! Absolutely GORGEOUS watch though! Absolutely stunning! LOOK AT IT!
@@marcob.7801 That's a real shame and I'm sorry you have been unlucky. You can easily get it regulated by a watchmaker but you shouldn't have to. I have had 5 different 8l watches and all of them have run within chronometer spec. Thanks for a great comment Marco I really appreciate it!

The Marinemaster SBDX001 is the handsome bastard that can look after himself. Mines been a daily since 2013. I also have a GShock Square (metal) which also don’t take any shit either. Shame about the piss poor lume on Doxa so it’s a no.
