Hi Chad, kudos on taking the time to make these videos. Looked like a relaxed and fun way to trade so I have been trying it in crypto pepetual futures and I'm killing it (no swaps fees and the funding fees are mostly none since it's hedged). Two quick questions: where did you learn about this trading strategy and could you point me in the direction where I could dive in further? I don't understand that, because I clearly see you always have more DRAWDOWN than profit margin. I have been experimenting with hedging for a few weeks now, and even developed my own strategy around it but I ran into some obstacles. For it to work I need at least 1000 USD with a maximum of 10 open trades. I also noticed that If I hedge within a ranging market, then the chances of using up all my lots (0.1 to 1.0 at increments of 0.1) is high. So I need to know exactly when the markets will stop ranging and enter a trend to maximize my chances of winning. I will continue to experiment with this strategy, and other hedging related strategies.

I have noticed that your profit factor has dropped from 25% to 10% and now 0%. Why? Because the drawdown is getting a little bigger than you like? Did you mention this in your videos? If so, then I must have missed it. Great videos by the way. And yes, it is the hair!

Hi Chad, been following you from the beginning, love your style. But I keep getting bigger and bigger spread and bigger n bigger drawdown. The only way out being clean trades, as you say. But they're only going to happen if you have a proven, rule based strategy. In which case you might as well just trade that. Do you at least concede/agree to that? Coz my inside clean trade attempts keep getting hedged!

Unfortunately the strategy doesn’t work using this approach. After a month you’re still down 6%. Because when hedged at balance the net-delta is always equally. Offsetting the losing trade is only possible when you hedge by capacity in accordance with current momentum i.e trend. However, you need a relatively large movement and preferably in a straight line to get flat this way. Since markets are approx. 70-80% mean reverting, the balance hedge gets constantly triggered which causes you to be in a forever drawdown (excl. the accumulating swaps). The strat would only work in very strong trending markets (without pullbacks) which makes a “simple” trend following system in that case more robust and efficient.

If you. think logically. This won’t work. Suppose you open 1 lot buy and sell. Now imagine market trends upwards. You take 1 lot buys profit and minimize the sell lot. Now suppose you open 1 more buy and sell lot, if market trends upwards you can close your first sell completely but now you’re second will not be completely closed only to small fraction Similarly if the circle goes on, momentum market you will have you various sell positions open. The margin will do you no good. Think about it

Every time you make profit for loss recovery But some some times if market hit profit we are in profit simple why we not take loss in losing trade i think this is totally losing strategy

Why is the account so small? Is this your live account? I figured you qould be trading with atleast 10k or something. Like enough for atleqst a single lot position, with all the knowledge you have i find it strange.

Dont fucking trade this strategy the profits he is cutting in every trade is just getting added into the account draewdown and to keep the drawdown in control later you will have to take clean trades without hedging its a lot of headache trust me dont trade this strategy guys you will regret it.

Heyi, great video! I noticed your approach in recent videos are a little different from how you've taught in backtesting videos previously. Like, using trailing stops, doing some scalping right before re-hedge, using limits to balance hedges and not stops. everytime i backtest i get stuck in the end with big position trads on both sides way out money and the little winners i get inbetween don't give me a big trim on the big trades anymore how can i avoid this situation ? can't seem to grasp that part yet

Hey chad I have a question when i open 2 position in same direction rather than keeping it two individual position in same direction my broker averages the entry price for my position then i have to open a hedge against it will that cause a problem or its okay

Hey Chad, great content as usual. Little tip to help with clarity that I use. On the Long side if you put a blue horizontal line at the buy and red horizonal line on the sell side with global drawing on, it makes it a little easier for viewers to see where your positions are. I find it helps me keep up with where I am.
