It's true that she is a brilliant lyricist, but it is her voice and guitar playing that sets her apart, similar to Joni Mitchell in her time. Sharing the stage with such a formidable artist as Shawn Colvin makes me realize how backward the music industry is. Shawn should be a headliner everywhere. It does not get better than her.
